Curious what prop your running ? And boat ? Looks like your doing all of 60 ..... Everybody has something to say but my performance boats that have been heavy in the nose as I suspect this one is by the angle of the engine and rooster....... A 4 blade trophy w some set back I suspect would carry the weight of that boat very well. Regardless I still enjoyed the video! Thanks
+Iain Urquhart this is on a ranger reata 21 foot, and the trim indicator beeps at you when the trim is too high. here we have the trim almost to its max. thanks for the input
@@BSuiTeS189 I used a high 5 for my ski prop on my Hydrostream.....very good for a 2nd prop. I loved it w 4 people in the boat or for skiing . They run very well submerged (deep in water / low on transom ) and also are very smooth. I think you would be better suited with a trophy plus 4 blade the blades are larger it will have a little more diameter and it will carry the boat and lift the bow better you'll run much more efficiently and get more of that boat out of the water. Depending on the RPM you're turning and the pitch...... I would prop it so it runs about 6,000 -6200 RPM w just you in the boat. That is a safe operating range for that motor and you'll have plenty of power on the bottom end. In my opinion running 5000 RPM wide open..... A good rule of thumb is every inch of pitch cost you about 200 rpm for example if you have a 25 pitch and you're running 5000 RPM..... Drop down to a 21 and you'll be spinning 5800 RPM. ( This is all theoretical but based on my 20 years of experience it's usually pretty close ) .
@@BSuiTeS189 Wait a minute. 60mph with a High Five? That's impressive, especially for an aircraft carrier like the Reatta. They are not known as fast, or even moderately fast, fish and skis. That 225 Merc is a monster!
