The high pressure fuel pump he is replacing and supposed to do a follow up video on is very expensive. From the looks of all the leaves in his boat, I would guess he probably just didn't fix the issue due to cost thus no follow up video.
Hi I have the same problem have changed iac valve coil packs will stall in idle my fuel lines had been rotten would this go into the fuel pump I found lots of liner inside them small filter but never opened the pump maybe it could be clogged?
Hi I just bought used boat has 2018 mercury 60hr under 30hrs what owner said. Pervious owner start up the motor with no issues. I took boat out to the lake and it died won’t start. I have put new gas and check gas line still won’t start. Could you give me an idea what could be wrong. Thanks
picked up a tracker with a 2014 60hp 4sroke boat only had 6.9 hours on it, it was my dads and he only took it out 3 times then let it sit for a few years. didnt start so i drained the tank and refilled with no-eth fuel, it had never been opened up, so i took the vsd out and replaced the seized HP fuel pump. Put it back together and it started right up, runs great, but i keep getting intermittent beeping. took it out on lake. aside from the random beeping it ran great, no hiccups, no, surging, no stalling, nothing...just beeping like its not happy about something Took the VSD back out after learning about the strainer behind the regulator. pulled the regulator and there was no strainer. The factory clamps were still on all the fuel lines and it only had 6.9 hours on it so I know no one has ever taken it apart before. anyone know if its common to be missing the strainer? should i try to order one?
I can't say for the strainer but the beeps may be overheat alarm even with low hours the water pump impeller should be changed because they dry rot. Also hopefully you got the OEM pump as I've heard a lot of motor computers being burned out from cheap aftermarket fuel pumps.
No follow up video and no mention of the original fuel filter he actually shows in the video that still has the OEM tie wrap around it. That engine has two external fuel filters. You don't want this guy working on your outboard.
I have this exact mercury, starts to act funny when I full throttle and bogs down.. turn it off prime it up acts fine . Always starts right up no problem seems like when I full throttle it acts weird any recommendations?
@@adhdgaming2377if you have to prime it up you're vst screen is either extremely plugged or the low pressure fuel pump on the back of the engine has failed, that's kind of common on this motor.
