Alot of people dissing the interviewer, dudes asking genuine questions in a humble manor, get off your high horse, hes having a conversation with them!
Are you fucking kidding? How dense are you that you think this guy's asking "genuine questions" when he's clearly reeling off prepared cliché questions from a piece of paper - he doesn't follow up with anything after they respond either. Grian even says "I don't want to use clichés and say it's an honest album" and then the dumb fuck responds with "it's a very honest album isn't it" lmfao. You must have not seen many good interviews if you think this one qualifies to be good. NME used to be respected, this guy is a joke. He sounds like he's 12 years old and has never even heard the band. Try educating yourself a little bit before you jump in to defend something you know absolutely fuck all about, useless twat.
@@Garrett1240nahhh they’re great but defo much more commercialised compared to darklands versions, i think that they wanted it to be a bit more clean and digestible
Interviewer's like: "Just watch! I swear I'm gonna get at least one straight answer out of these guys!" Sadly, it didn't happen. But hey! They're riding on a wave of good will, long may it last. Their second album is gonna be the most important second album in years, maybe decades. I personally think they'll knock it out of the park, that's how good they are, and their formula's working for them like a charm right now. When it grows stale, will they find the right new way to go? I think they will.
Never send this guy to interview anyone ever again. Is he work experience? He sounds nervous and totally unsure of himself. Dull questions, dull answers.
he says the state of the country is ireland is in shit......yet here we see two middle class men coming from respectable families.....families that were able to put them through music college......looks like they got great use out of the irish education system to me. He then goes on to say hes mad to go toilet due to alcohol......what is the country of ireland renowned for?? alcohol.....he seems to be attached to the very thing that is wrong in ireland....then jokingly promoting it. sensible lad. or sorry....its what ''rock stars'' do
a party is a party....with or without me, a party is a party, i would hope it would be ''great craic'' either way. Id say you are the very person to single people out for being introvert, then like to talk to others about those people that are introvert......''what are they doing at this party....they aren't ''great craic''. Worry about yourself there. Next time you are having a party let me know and il pop around.....id love to see Mickey D live, you clearly know good music when you hear it!!!
You can love and respect your country but love and respect all aspects is almost impossible, it would require alot of denial and bluff. Being able to say what's wrong with your country is powerful and liberating, glad we can still do this in these islands.
