Speed test with a new propeller on the beautiful Danube and the right driving team.Engine 150hp-manual jack plate-gear2/1-claver30-nose cone.6500rpm 8%slip-85mph.
the purpose of this test, like many before this, was not the goal of achieving maximum speed, but to achieve stability and safety and to drive at a decent speed for as long as possible with as little effort as possible. all serious players in this sport know what I'm talking about. and since I own several models, each model I put it together for a specific purpose.
This is not a standard gt, the speedboat has been strengthened and finished on the hull itself. For speed and stability. Technology and knowledge from 1970 to today have progressed a lot. So this is not one of those gt standard with a big engine. Everything done with knowledge and love .So there is no need for unnecessary discussions. Anyone who wants and has a question can ask freely and I will give him knowledge and experience for sure. Because whoever loves this sport knows what I'm talking about
had a 91 cvx 16ft. brand new. took the tank out of the front and foam. bullet lower unit. jack plate. 3 blade over the hub prop. xr 4 150 merc. tops do low 70s!
Very new to boats, just picked up a glastron sprint with a mercury 200 on it, currently rebuilding the engine, but wondering if u would recommend changing anything else while im working on it?
in short. that speedboat model is an excellent design and it is good from the factory for medium and high speeds. it is important that it is structurally sound without cracks and rotten wood. and it is important for the engine if the goal is speed. three basic things a good steering system...hydraulics for 300 horse...ss propeller 25p mini .tempest.and rigid engine mounts.provided that the engine is good
@@Icutmetal I own a gt 150…. And I know 150 is far to much motor ! You will rip out your transom, speed wobble … etc… would go with max 115 tower of power !!
