Mere is a weirdo sure... but it's the best possible kind of weirdo. The kind that wears fun fuzzy unicorn slippers with your kids. Awesome seeing parents interact with their kids instead of staring at a phone. CRUSHING IT!!!

Just wrap a couple layers of electrical tape around the part of the lanyard that clicks and then you can use it but it won't make noise. Love your vids!

Put a chunk of electrical shrink wrap around the piece that clicks on your camera so you can use the lanyard.

When you ended the singing scene and we're sitting in the parking lot I started laughing because I recognized the fence outside the truck window. I very never been to Apache rifle works and I can recognize the fence because you go there so often 😂🤣

A small handheld camera mount that has a lanyard attached to it will eliminate the annoying noise and keep you from dropping your camera. It also makes it much easier to hold and maneuver with it in your hand.

Seems like a simple rubber band would keep the lanyard from clicking.

You could take a piece of heat shrink and shrink it over the plastic bit of the lanyard. That way the clicking sound disappears? Note though, that you cannot use a flamethrower to shrink the tube over the plastic bit...
