WHO ELSE SCREAMED WHEN THEY SAW NICK?! I’ve been wanting him to come back from the moment he came into my screen in season 14! The chemistry and instant connection between him and meredith was absolutely MAGICAL and palpable! I am so so happy to see him back! The chemistry is still off the charts!

The way he says "Meredith" gives me goosebumps. I feel the chemistry.

I don’t care what everyone says they have CHEMISTRY even in the one episode he was in , in season 14. Also idk wether its Bc I pay attention a lot but I immediately recognized him. As much as I want mer and Haynes together they don’t have the same level of chemistry that mer and nick have.. however nothing beats mer and Derek

This feels like Grey's of old. Except instead of being sat at the bar across the road from the hospital it's a hotel bar! Right down to when she takes a drink, and how Nick orders another. So much MerDer vibes, but with their own history. The fact she remembers his niece, when she has had hundred of patients in the years between. How they share a bond over being miracles, which is much more positive than sharing the bond of being widowers. I love them together. And they way he makes her smile. Like she doesn't want to but can't help herself. The way he manages to reminder her he knows what it's like to be a parent, but his kid/niece loves her already. The way to want to spend time together, because they want to not because they work together. But mostly I love that this is set in Minnesota, which is where Cristina went to find herself again after the hospital shooting. So many subtle call backs to to Cristina too. Love! Edited to add: I like the thought of Cristina working with Nick at Mayo and approving of him, or Nick telling Meredith about how he briefly worked with this incredible Cardio surgeon and finding out that she was Mer's best friend!

their chemistry is absolutely INSANE. i watched this scene several times. it's electrifying.

Their chemistry is off the charts and hasn't been felt since Derek! We all felt it in season 14 and clearly the producers did too since he is going to be a series regular this season :) Please give the fans what they want! A happy ending for Meredith with someone she ACTUALLY has chemistry with! I love McWidow, don't get me wrong, but the chemistry is not there. Her and McWidow seem more like a couple that would only get together because "Hey.you're a widow...me too. Lets be widows together." It just doesn't work.

I know Meredith and Derek were soulmates, but someone can have more than one. I’m happy that Meredith is trying to be happy, i know Derek would want that.

I watched s14e17 right after finishing this. That chemistry, AMAZING. Watching that old episode gave me that “having butterflies in my stomach” feeling, and he was the definition of cosy and warm-maybe portraying him so vulnerable helped with that. I am so so happy that things took this turn after all these years. It just felt like he was supposed to be more than just that hot, smart surgeon who was also her patient. It should have been more and that episode definitely set the premises for a stronger connection between them. This has to be endgame for her. ❤️

Don’t get me wrong, I liked Hayes and mer in the beginning and despite him being well suited to mer (widow, both having kids, surgeons etc) the chemistry just isn’t there anymore. Now this Nick guy has been in two episodes so far and the chemistry between him and mer is on another level.

I haven't felt so much chemistry between her and a scene partner since Patrick. I'm here for it honey.

I am absolutely thrilled with this return. Ever since his appearance I've wanted more. I was onboard with DeLuca, but accepted him as "if we can't have Scott Speedman". Never warmed to Hayes. I don't like the idea of Cristina sending Mer a man, I feel like Meredith has grown so much into knowing herself, she should find someone on her own terms, and not rely on her friends to set her up. And Nick has always been able to make Meredith smile so genuinely and warmly. Edited to add: I do like the idea of Cristina having worked with Nick at Mayo and approving of him, or Nick telling Meredith about how he briefly worked with this incredible Cardio surgeon and finding out that she was Mer's best friend!

Gosh this man is absolutely gorgeous! I was secretly loudly wishing he would be back and what a magnificient surprise! Seems like I am not the only one who could not get him out of my head! Sure Mer felt the same way. He is her soul mate. The other one the pediatrician is great too but I see them more as friends. Mer and Nick have sparkles in their eyes and the chemistry is out of this world! This is the Greys Anatomy we love!

I haven't seen this much natural chemistry between Meredith with anyone since Derek. With Derek - it just saturated whatever room they were in, even when they were fighting. All her other relationships they had to work to spark the chemistry, here it's just there. It gives off very good MerDer vibes - and I am here for it.

They have a lot of chemistry between them, more so than he has with Meredith and after all Jo's been through, Hays would be good for her. And I happen to love Scott Speedman. He's really underrated. His role on Animal Kingdom should have lasted longer than it did.

I think what Hayes and Meredith had was a similar feeling as her and Christina. An understanding and a bond that can speak volumes with just a "you know". McVet and Scott speedman are the 2 options for romance that would suit her. She is so strong that she needs someone with softness to them. After Derek died, each man was a romantic growth for her. Acceptance of the possibility of finding someone. Passion. Ability to love again. Understanding of her life as it will be going forward. She has so much drama around her all the time, what she needs is not necessarily passionate fireworks or someone to understand her pain. But something that just accepts it all and can just be with her.
