Hey guys, in this video we gonna learn how we can merge different animations and apply them to a single 3D model using Blender 3D and then import those animated models in CopperCube 6. We will also learn how to lock the animation to the root position and fix the missing textures while importing to CopperCube.

WHERE WAS THIS VIDEO EARLIER? I can't tell you how many hours out of my life I spent just trying to figure this thing out. This is solely the main reason why I left coppercube and moved to Unity because it was easier to use the character animations. I can't thank you enough bhai

Great video ! - its Robo from forum and trying to work this very thing out last few days with only limited success. I will do it the same way you did and thanks very much brother. Very clearly done also, unlike some other who race through things in their videos. I was using Unreal engine - animation montage to combine animations with limited success (some animations get deformed) and exporting to FBX at 300 FPS (default) then adjust in Blender to get 30 FPS...your way seem much better and has each animation separated out already...great !

@@GlitchVelocity I noticed your animation imports to CC run at 300 FPS by default...30 really should be the max for game performance (24-30) - unable as yet to find a solution to this as if you change FPS in Blender to 300 then import into CC then change back to 30 the animations are cut short (ie run) and not complete....any ideas ??

@@saturn7_dev i found that 30 is equavalent to 300 in coppercube the amount of total number of frames will also increase in coppercube so 300 will be equivalent to 30 and will not make much difference in animation playback. However i will look into this if there will be an option to export at 30 fps.

@@GlitchVelocity I tried a few things and managed to get the framerate down to as little as 60 FPS using Blender while still able to use animations like running but it cut out many of the animation frames this way and so wasnt that smooth. Might be optimal for performance but not smooth. I ended up leaving it at default 300 FPS as was the smoothest this way and only my player character will have this framerate so probably wont be too CPU demanding. I checked the framerate and still get max 60 FPS using this and at 60 FPS max, then doesnt this mean its actually just running at 60 FPS not 300 ?

@@saturn7_dev Coppercube not only increased the framerate value to 300 but will also increase the total frame count. I tried dividing total frame count by 300 and I got the time it will take the animation to finish. In my case total number of frames was 1500 and I divided it by 300 which is our fps in CC and calculated the time which was 5 seconds and then I tried playing animation with a time counter and the animation played for exact 5 Seconds. So coppercube is doing something really strange here. I don't think it will be going to cross 60fps cause your monitor might be locked to 60hz display rate. So CC can not go beyond 60 fps generally people don't own a high refresh rate display. To make the animation smooth coppercube is doing some frame mulitplication I think which turns the normal framerate into 300Fps.

Thanks. Works perfect. I have this problem and need your guidance or help. I created my character in maximo fuse and rigged it in maximo. I followed your video and combined the animation. Everything worked perfectly as you shown. But when I apply my textures to the character, only one texture (maybe cloths) covers the character. I tried baking but to no avail. I have been stacked for weeks now trying so many things. If you can help me, I would be glad. Thanks!

Hi there, while exporting from blender as FBX file, see the export options, there will be an option "Path Mode" change it from "Auto" to "Copy", once you have changed your path mode to "Copy" you will see a small box near the Path Mode option, that says "Embed Textures". Simply turn that option on by clicking on it, and then hit Export FBX button. Now your exported model will have textures embedded into them, so that you don't have to manually apply textures to the model. Or if you are using CopperCube, then do check the materials tab of your object, there can be multiple materials, and you might be applying the texture to one material only, by default coppercube throws a warning message when you try to apply single texture to all the materials, so if you get such warning message when applying texture then your object has multiple materials. The best is you go with the method that I proposed above to change the "Path Mode" to copy and embed the textures.

@@GlitchVelocity Please, I have tried approaches. Using the path mode, export FBX did not embed textures when exported to cc. On the second approach, cc has only one slot for character texture. I don't know if it is from blender settings in regard to the path mode approach?

Do you mean a texture? if yes, then you can try turning of the texture filtering from the irredit/irrlicht menu.

@@bedjgames13 you need to enable it from the editor options and then restart the editor, and then you can show or hide irredit/irrlicht window from the view menu of Coppercube editor.

In Coppercube you can rename animation from the animation editor window. In Blender you can rename it from the dopesheet (action editor).

There can be many other animation tools out there like z-brush and all which might merge the animation to one but I know only blender. So don't have any more info.

@@Arun_luv_Anime does it shows any texture slot in CC with default white textures? Hoe many textures you've applied to your model. You can always manually assign textures in CC if texture data (texture slots) are available

If its webgl game then you might have selected load all textures. So it will take time to load the textures and then only it will start.

check the directory there should be a .fb folder if your character has embedded textures, if there is no embedded textures then it wont show any folder.
