Merging Pattern Lines to Fit Multiple Sizes

Hello. I plan to use practice fabric. I am working on mccalls 7910 (bodice , pants(front and back pieces), and lining ) I'm between a size 16 for bodice one and size 20 for the pant. Bust 36 / waist 36 / hips 44. This will work with the bodice / lining and pants?

I'm glad that you caught the wrong lines. That would have been a disaster. Cute pattern.

Do you have to do the same merging lines for the back pattern piece?

If one of your measurements is not listed, do you add paper and extend it.

Do you have a method for having a pattern that’s smaller than your measurements but want to grade it up without having to buy another pattern and alter the size? I bought the size 18 but my waist and hips are bigger than the pattern i have (20w-22w).

Thank you for being so honest with your measurements! I have the same issue. I had two babies back to back and afterward I just couldn't shop for clothes, I had to make them to get a flattering fit. It's a pain having to take the time to grade all of my patterns but so worth it in the end. I got two huge rolls of pattern paper and I trace out the pattern pieces and grade as I go. Then I carefully fold up the pattern I made and store it in a hanging file folder, that way I keep from cutting the original. I just can't cut my original in the hopes that someday I'll be back to my prepregnancy size but let's be real that was 4 years and two babies ago lol.

How do you merge separate pattern pieces like a jumpsuit? I'm a 14 bust and 20/22 hip, when you open the pattern they come separately and I am having trouble getting this into a nice garment fit. Can someone please advise through a video

It's Friday night and I'm just watching a number of your videos to decide which ones I want to do. Very Insightful video on how to grade a pattern. I am also in-between sizes. One question I have is when you are grading two separate pattern pieces that will be sewn together (for example a bodice piece that might be a size 16 and a skirt piece that might be a size 20), is 'easing' the technique you would use when you sew the two pieces together, so that all required pattern markings that need to match up when you sew the two pieces together will do so?
