Your stuff is amazing! I'm impressed in every video. I may not be your target market for selling the tables, but as a furniture maker I would easily buy your mechanisms as a kit, or study a master class from you on hidden compartments or hardwear fabrication. Keep up the awesome work.

You could try using a speed square along with your circular saw to make your cuts more straight. Also, get some pre-stain wood conditioner, some tite-bond 3 wood glue, and some polyurethane flat finish and mix 1 part of each into a container. Use this as your new homemade pre-stain wood conditioner and apply before staining and stain after 20ish minutes and no longer than 2 hours after applying. Then stain using a lint free rag or stain sponge and wearing nitrile gloves. Remember that stain is not paint and ALL excess should be aggressively removed with the rag or sponge by hand. The idea is to stain the wood and make it look natural, not blotchy. Some overhang on the top to match the drawer face would've been nice as well. Cutting dados halfway into the wood for the shelves to slide into and glueing them would majorly increase strength over those dowels. That said, I suck with dowels and getting them to align properly no matter what technique I used. So bravo on your dowel work sir. And sand all parts before assembly with the random orbital 80, 150, 220 wiping with mineral spirits between grits will make for a nice finish free of swirl marks. Even better to go back down to a 180 grit last and rub it down by hand. You can also cut your own veneers for the edges along the front and glue them on. And use a section of 1/8" panel for the back. The lid looks really nice and lifts much better using concealed cabinet hinges, but the install of those does take a little finagling. Lastly, I would suggest putting a light chamfer around all edges with a trim router or at least a hand chamfer plane. It's amazing how such a simple build can be modified to still appear simple but display a ton of elements of craftsmanship. You sir have a solid foundation and a great start to understanding the craft that is woodworking. I hope you won't look at this as tearing you down, but instead I hope you will learn more about everything I've suggested and grow in your journey. If you do, I promise you'll love the craft and probably spend about 10k in tools over the next year once you become addicted to woodworking as I have. The one good thing to come out of COVID-19!!!

What about making a lock open with the right weight like in the movie die hard with Samuel l Jackson and they had to fill it to 8 gallons using 2 jugs u could do it with cool weights or somthing don't have to be liquid and have a pocket that will only open with the correct pressure by weight. I don't know just thought it would be dope and new

Another ideal would be a Greek table of heros and have to know there stories to know the clue to open them like Achilles you have to put the arrow in his tendon (foot) or somthing to open and Hercules he had to beat the hydra so use three different swords to open but only the gold sword would open correctly and so on with other bad asses from the Iliad and the odyssey pick stories for ways to open on how demigod won or died to solve a Greek table would be so awsome

You may want to put some thought into how to make anything designed to hold a gun something that is actually (from a legal perspective) a safe place to house a gun. A real lock would do just fine. I don’t think two triggers you have to depress at once counts. In many states if a kid gets ahold of that and does something bad with it comes back to who didn’t lock up the gun properly. I’m only bringing this up because your intention with some of the furniture you make is to store firearms.

Cool I'd ideal maybe would be if you put a few knife In there to have one unlock a hidden pocket or what ever but have it be a riddle like indiana jones last crusade when he has to find cup Jesus drank from you gotta find the knife that so in so used or maybe not a knife but u can imagine
