why is their so many dislikes lmaoo. guy is just giving an over view and an explanation on how the system works, he never promised a sound test. that will bring in copyright issues and you can’t judge the sound through your speakers cuz it’s not what it’ll sound like in real life
so absolutely pointless then............................................let me tell you all about my own home hifi.......then explain stuff no ne cares about. demonstartion???? no?? so pointless really
What is this non-sense about them not playing music in the review? seriously? Music played through the In-car music system recorded over Camera then played through RU-vids presumably garbage compression and then through your 'desktop grade' PC speakers WILL NOT give you any idea of the actual quality of the Meridian Sound system that Land Rover has put in this car : ). He's already done the work for you. Listen to the guy telling you about the details, depth, staging and separation to gauge the quality of the sound system. Thanks for the review.
I have this car and this audio system. The bass is tight, and sounds reasonably accurate if you don't push it too hard - but not particularly strong, Not sure how much can you really ask from two 165mm (6.6") bass speakers and a 200mm (7.9") subwoofer (Equivalent in area to one 302mm (11.9") speaker). I am very tall and have the driver's seat as far back as it goes. Since the subwoofer is under the seat, the positioning could be affecting my experience. Trying to position the center of sound rearward a bit for my position significantly affects the frequency balance and quality so much so, that the feature is unusable. The Meridian processing does do a great job of imaging, however, I sometimes find the processing muffles some detail and prefer to use another mode at those times. The imaging is, however, very good. I don't believe the dual view is not available in the US - at least not in California. You cannot rip a CD to the internal disk and play it at the same time, so better be prepared to wait... The recording quality is very good, though. It is super easy to connect an iPod, iPad, and Android phone all of which I have used to stream music. That said, the iPod/iPhone interface for selecting music on the display from a lot of Artists/Songs is extremely bad - unusable. And when I star the car with the iPod plugged in, it shows a list of songs rather than song information for the current song, and I have to go to the main menu, and back to the audio mode to display song information. That is actually more annoying than the sound system, which is actually better than any other factory sound system I have heard other than my 1994 Ford Explorer JBL sound system. It was actually one of the reasons I bought the car after test driving many others.
Old me analyst. Miss my sound Stage and neon That was joy Merida princess. Put the band back together . Think about you everyday. Honest Truth Heart and Soul open so much I wanted to say .
Hybrid Audio Technologies, DLS, Morel, for true SQ (Sound Quality) car audio, those are the only brands you need to know about, not all this B&O, B&W, Lin, Naim, Meridian in car garbage, and according to Gary Summers (RU-vid search it), these systems are seriously lacking.
