Of course you are in Kent and those areas are in Hampshire so too! That alas was the trouble with Southern of course that their news area really was too large. That was why the then IBA decided to make the area a joint south and south east region too. When TVS took over in 1982, they had two newsrooms, in Maidstone as well as Southampton too; although Southern had had an office in Dover. When Meridian took over in 1993, they added a third area from Newbury in Berkshire as well too. Thank you there so too-well done also!

@@brucedanton3669 Southern's Dover office closed and became an educational television facility. When I was in the sixth form, rather than playing rugby or cricket we'd go down to Dover and make our own TV shows. I did it 3 times. Once I was a vision mixer, once a cameraman and once an actor. They had two B & W floor cameras and a rostrum for the credit cards. The best thing about it was that some of the nicest girls opted for these courses!
