What can one say about a master, lovely flowers and well presented. Congratulations, savour the years Paul they can't be replaced especially when you have the love of a good lady.😸👍
Another great video, Paul. You talked about frustrations for new wet shavers picking up DE razors and yes, it can be a lot to learn all in one go. Building the lather is just as important really as being able to shave without too much pressure. My shaves for the past few months have been dreadful because I could not figure out Van Der Hagen Deluxe and Col. Conk soaps. Something about them mystified me, I always seemed to add an amount of water to the lather which gave me no protection from the razor blade, cuts and irritation abound! One day I just said, "To Hell with it!" and bought better quality soaps (Cella, Haslinger) and I've never looked back.
Beautiful arrangement Mrs H. Congrats on 19 Years Paul & Mrs H-- Just bought some Palmolive Menthol. I really like the Slants. Great Shave. See you Sunday!
19 years. Welcome to the Married in '96 Club. I think the comedienne Rita Rudner described marriage best: 'I love being married. It's so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life.'
Paul i was at a friends last night and in his bathroom unit was 2 aftershaves from the 1980s. Burley Sport and Hi-Karate , They were 3 shops back then that sold them , Poundstrecher , Pennywise and Krackers. he also had a Red Wilkinson sword protector cartridge with bar like protector and the razor was red in colour. brings back the memories. Jock Stewart.
Congratulations to you both on your 19th wedding anniversary ! My wife and I recently celebrated our 35th....all the best to you both! Heard a funny quote once...." The married state is the most complete image of both heaven and hell we are capable of receiving in this life!!!"......no....I didn't say that dear....I was just telling Paul.....someone else said it.......
Happy Wednesday! Nice shave, as usual, hope the rest of your week goes well. Congrats to you and Mrs. H on 19 years, we must have got married the same year as me & my Mrs. Celebrated 19 this past May. Enjoy the anniversary flowers Mrs. H!
Personna Reds are my favorite. A good description for me is smooth like Astra greens but slightly sharper. p.s. Many congrats on 19 years! That means you have an entire year to plan and get her that perfect gift for your 20 year anniversary. :-)

+1 as i'm one of those who really love the lather making part of your videos. Congrats on your 19 years Paul with Mrs H,keep it up both of you, marriage, flowering, and shaving (the last one goes only for you mate)!By the way I'm very exited as I found in a local supermarket here in Greece a Gillette sensitive cream!
congratulations on the flowers Mrs H and being married to this one lol congratulations Paul Palmolive shave stick is my all time favorite soap stick i just hope i don't have wam in me head for the next week lol great vid as always mate catcha later
Another great video Paul. Another tip for the Adam's apple is to swallow and keep your throat closed. If that makes sense. Your Adam's apple will be less pronounced. I can't remember where I heard this tip originally. Anyway I must try some of the Palmolive menthol quite a few people have also commented how good it is. Happy Shaving!!!
Happy Anniversairy Paul. I got my R41 Grande in today and I had a shave...Oh my Im in love! What a fantastic razor. By far the most aggressive and closest shave i have had yet. Cheers
Paul, your enthusiasm is contagious, you make me want to go shave right now! haha. I don't like menthol and don't enjoy the cooling effect on my face but I got a tube of Palmolive Classic last year in Portugal and it cost less than 2 Euros. Pretty good cream and a great deal. Keep up the videos and the enthusiasm! Cheers from Canada.
So I was watching your perfection art piece of a shave this morning and getting really excited to shave myself, but then I remembered I had a very good shave last evening and there is still nothing to shave. Oh no having to wait for your stubble to grow a few more hours to shave them off. ah first world problems :)
Personna Reds are a go to in my den. The Palmolive is a great cream IMO - Congrats on 19 yrs. - may you have many, many more together! Lovely flowers to match a lovely shave, lol!
Very nice shave Paul! Congratulations to you and Mrs .H on your anniversary! Mrs. W and I celebrated 44 years this past September, and those years went by damn fast! My Dad always used the regular Palmolive cream, and if memory serves he only did one pass. Maybe that's why he typically had nicks and bits of tissue stuck to his face. I have Johnny Flynn's theme song to the "Detectorists" stuck in my head but I love it and the show. Be well. Ossie
Congratulations to you and Mrs H, I hope you both had a lovely anniversary. Wow, 19 years of happy marriage and successful smuggling in of shave gear :)
Good shave Paul...Another fine demonstration of Wisker eradication....using a minimum of tools and effort.....I do wish you would use a new blade..as I'm sure a second time blade does not demonstrate the full potential of your chosen shaving device...besides what's a nick or two between friends and fans...lol...The flowers once again are far to lovely to leave in a bathroom with Paul...I hope they find a more worthy location in your beautiful home Mrs P..........Cheers!
Video as always loved it. Very cool, coincidentally, just as I was about to buy SLANT BAR, the video came from Nickshaves and from you. And just two with slant bar of Merkur. Of course slant bar from Mercury I can not buy because it is expensive, but I hope that I have chosen slant bar will shave me too well.
Because there are only"easy" japanese characters on the front, i can read them. It is the name rucido (ルシ-ど) and Aftershave Lotion. And at least Sappari which means like refreshing. Looks mystical but it is only the same like in English. 😊👍 PS: it is pronounced with "shi" in the middle. Lushido. ..😱😋
Congratulations to yourself and Mrs. H on 19 years. And thanks for another great video despite the fact that you made me sing Wham, "Wake me up" in my head, on the train home this evening. I'm thinking of investing in a slant razor and would like you opinion on whether or not its a good investment and if so, which one would you recommend? Thanks again Paul, see you Sunday..
+Mike Sumner Thanks Mike, I personally don't see any difference in the shave from a standard straight head, but it looks different, and is different obviously, so I would buy it on the fact you like the look of it rather than hoping for a very different shaving experience...if all that makes sense..lol.

Where are you from? ... Thanks a lot for th videos. I really enjoy them! Keep on doing them :)
Great shave paul. Do you have any blade alignment issues with your fatip razors? I have been hesitant to buy one since reading about such issues. What are your favorite open comb razors? Congratulations on 19 years I hope you enjoy many more.
+Kainoa Benson I just keep an eye on the allignment when putting the blade in, but no bother during the shave with it, the Fatip Open comb is my favourite so far anyway....thank you.. Paul.
I'm looking forward to your shave with one of those Personna Medical Preps. During the holiday season, there's alot of songs that I can't get out of my head after hearing them. Here's one by another Paul. It's one of his more recent tunes, sung live with a very well known and attractive lady: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-p3Awa4q9WYE.html
Hey Paul, great shave! One question - do you notice slant bars burn through blades quicker? My 37C HD tends to blunt down a blade a little quicker than any other razor I own.
The menthol Palmolive costs about three times the classic one, including delivery, on the sites I've seen. Is this what you paid, or can it be had cheaper? I haven't seen that one in the supermarkets here. How does it compare to Ingrams? I love the menthol kick from that!
ok thanks paul. r my post men the bust is Feather Hi-Stainless Double Edge Razor Blades 2 IS Gillette Platinum Double Edge Razor Blades whats the bust Shaving Brush to get paul and im in Australia. ok ok seer sunday paul
+Jono King of shave If you want the feel of a badger brush, but the cost of a boar brush, try a Semogue range, excellent brushes for the money....all the best....Paul.
+wayne stockton It is meant to help the cutting action of the blade, I don't notice much difference from a normal straight head myself, good shave though.
hi men its big jono he i which your video good and was w how come you don't n the Wilkinson Sword Double Edge Safety Razor Blades any more Paul seer on Sunday men the best way to SHAVEING
+Jono King of shave I haven't used them for a while, no reason really, just been enjoying the Personna Reds and a few others for a change....thanks..Paul.
