yes he is, it's really beautiful to see, the same kind of intelligence, skill of communication, sympathy and handsomeness. I remember his father especially from the discussions with Krishnanurti, Bohm and others. Beautiful, profound man. He has clearly also been a fantastic father.

My goodness, he really looks like his dad! What a charming handsome young man! As a Scandinavian myself living in England, I think it’s fair to say that we have the most educational talk shows in the world. I think this type of interview would be lost if shown to the wrong audience. Fredrik Skavlan is such a wonderful, humble and measured gentleman. He is genuinely interested in the subjects that his guests present. It’s nice.

This is something unique about Merlin. I never heard him repeat a line in any of his responses. A lot of people (including me) do it to just emphasise their point. I find that very interesting!!

Mushrooms only gave me realizations that faded when I came down. Our minds are not ours. We have a spectrum that we tap into on the collective consciousness

That's interesting, I found the opposite. Weed has fleeting epiphanies but shrooms were mind changing.

I can only repeat what the person (mister jib) directly below me in the comments section says: "Merlin is one splendid fellow, very much like his dad". This family---Rupert, Merlin, etc---are a marvel of humankind...and the "kind" part of it also seems apt, as in "kind to the world", and " kind to new ideas"!

could listen to him all day, then again he reminds me of hermes....the last joke oh my, he is clever.... i wonder what they were thinking about all this. i loved the way he connects everything from the science of fungi to the life lessesnt and prerpectives. to know they existed so long before us make me even more curious about how humanity started and were we are all from years ago. id love to know what Merlin thinks of that if hes ever on again

The connection of all things. It is the truth of the universe. Perhaps 'magic' mushrooms is their attempt to get us to understand.

"They" makes it sound so creepy, and although excelllent, the book is slightly unnerving at times. Especially the species that manipulates a certain ant by growing inside and spouting a long stem and head from the poor unfortunate creature. A great read though.

Oh good, a case for 'all life is intelligent.' Now we can take that next step, and having divorce intelligence from a brain, realize that mind is not a property of matter. Thus, in order for life to exist, something or someone, had to add mind to matter in order for it to become alive. Which leads to the logical conclusion that life cannot occur accidentally.

that women was lookign at the other guy trying to catch his eye to say "he's a bit odd", you can see it, she is trapped in her fragile little world of insecurities and judgement, she is not used to seeing someone so expressive, who speaks with their mind body and soul and not just with words.. pfft simpleton

In the first couple sentences, the whole idea of evolution is debunked. The relationships are INTERDEPENDENT. They could not “evolve” separately.
@thulyblu5486
@thulyblu5486 2 года назад
That does not debunk evolution even one bit. In evolution, organisms adapt to their environment and if this environment is full of other organisms, there will be interdependences - it's unavoidable.
