I love the use of the Armored xyz package in the deck, also, by playing the trap and the shark you enable the use of lancer, which coul be useful if you don't wanna spam toads and have space in the ED. The water ED's power is shining through with this deck!
Love to see your videos back! Also love your endboard and perspective with the deck. This makes the deck have tons of interaction even against the most devastating board breakers like Sphere Mode. I actually end on the same board as you with only Neptabyss, but I do it with Yamatako Orochi instead of the Armored Xyz cards. Basically, with Poseidra instead of discarding Minstrel, you discard Infantry, Special summon from grave Bodyguards, Spirit and Infantry and with Abyssgunde you special summon Abysspike. Go into Levirtue, then use Triana to special summon Dragoons, special summon Bahamut Shark and Toad, triggering Dragoons to add Yamatako Orochi. Link Levirtue and Bahamut into Abyssalacia and use Infantry’s second normal summon effect to normal summon Yamatako Orochi and make Icejade Gymir or Chengying with them. Just another option in case you want some Extra Deck economy since you don’t need to run Armored Fortress nor send a Rank 4 to the GY for Armored Shark, but definitely better for decks that wanna run Full Armored Lancer. I didn't think to use the armored xyz cards tbh, I think I'll try that out!! I play sharks so it seems pretty smooth. Your first line was already much more extensive than mine. @@breezerodriguez2301 I use KMC white Japanese size sleeves! And use dragon shield clear standard sized sleeves (I use these as oversleeves!) For rest of them, I use dragon shield jap size sleeves

Ive been playing Mermails for a bit too, and its cool we got new support that facilitates cards outside of dragoons. My endboard would usually be something like Abyssmegalo, Ravenous Dragon Crocosaur, and something else (usually Moulinglacia). Usually would end in an OTK if their field was cleared since Megalo would be attacking twice.
Love to see you back makin' vids regularly:) (I'm guessing we got u secured for at least another year till they ban atlantean dragoons, jk) Couple of things to note here: 1. I really love the inclusion of Armored Shark, I really wanted to play fortress but I couldnt find a way to make him useful without having to play the armor xyz trap. I'm gonna try to fit dark knight lancer into a combo since i think it's another cool layer of disruption with the armored shark and Neptabyss link, and it can potentially be good going second to break boards. 2. I noticed you were playing 3 bahamut sharks which I think takes up too much space in the extra for the combo so alternatively you could just get back the 2nd one you dump with Armored Shark via Levirtue Dragon's 1st eff to add from gy to hand the bahamut. Also would like to see you make a tutorial later on about playing around handtraps since it's what I fear might be this decks' weakness if we're still in a ht heavy meta.

Like I was never into mermails or atlanteans that much, but this deck looks fun. I do like complex and different combo lines depending on information. The only issue for me is I don't have the experience with the Deck. Would be interesting to see a full combo breakdown video for each combo line and a in depth deck profile

I’m not sure if you’re familiar with him but there’s another water deck enthusiast who (iirc) runs a channel called DeepSeaYGO. He’s been on some various Icejade/Atlantean/Ice Barrier brews for some time, theorycrafting them. One thing he brought up during his experiments with Icejade Atlantean was using an Ib the World Chalice Justicar package since both Beckoned and Ib are waters. Do you think it could be useful here?

Really glad you liked my idea for the prince combo video from the fb group :D. Very cool adaptation of it for the diva play as well. Actually haven´t thought about grabbing megalo instead of infantry, but that makes a lot of sense. Have you considered playing coelicant to play through handtraps? With pikes and armored sharks you already play 4 fishes if you go for 3 pike. Add one harpooneer and you can actually make white aura monoceros for more bahamuth toad /link plays and you can overlay coelicanth + monoceros for gaios plays. Love to see a deck profile idea some time :)
I feel like tidal works better in here than anywhere else. Rank 7 plays, discard to mill effect triggers merlanteans too (the discarded one, not the milled one). And the mill can send nimble angler!
whats crazy is that until the 2nd bahamut, there are no repeated carsd. i was looking for combos for Domain format and putting either of these two into the deck master zone means you guarantee the combo every time unless theres a handtrap which even if there is doesnt matter because you've spent none of your hand advantage to start the combo lmao
Can someone explain how Mizuchi protects you from Forbidden Droplet, DRNM, and Super Poly when all those care say your opponent can’t activate cards or effects in response to this cards activation?

@@badtimer2457 If prince gets negated it´s a very good backup plan. I run 3 pike + the armored shark + 1 harpooneer + 1 white aura monoceros in the extra to still have an insane combo if prince gets negated. you quite often run out of meaningfull discards if 1 of your plays gets negated, so coelicanth brings a lot of gas back on board in that case.
I've been meaning to max rare this deck for so long... But I didn't... And now dragoons is like £300 a copy so uhhhhhhhh I think I'll have to pass unfortunately lol. Still looking very forward to this deck!
I used to have atlantean mermails in high school, sucks that this entire deck loses to "I summon Neptabyss and declare his effect, any response?" "ash blossom/imperm" Also if they somehow brick every single card in their hand besides having a Nibiru we lose to that too. This deck can only really fully pop off if you play casually with friends and ban all hand traps and imperm
I feel that's true if you open no discard outlets, given they know to wait for the dragoons eff to ash. If they ash the neptabyss, that's actually intuitive to molding your lines. Also, now we'll probably be sending bodyguards as prince's cost so dragoons has a friend 😂 minstrel does deal with nibiru and imperm too! Granted, ya gotta open it, but if you do you get all that hand knowledge
I'm not a big fan of adding more "engine" to Mermail Atlantean, like the new Fish monsters and their spell/trap cards. I personally think it's too charged, the risk of having dead hands becomes higher (tho in Mermail Atlantean it's pretty uncommon), it is in my opinion an unnecessary risk to take. Virtue Stream isn't that good going first since you often end with 4-5 negates/rupts + discarding 2 from your oppo's hand, (they almost never recover from that) + having to self-destroy a monster isn't something you like in Mermail Altantean archetype since you don't trigger their effects this way, and it's kinda useless going second. Overall, the Shark archetype will just slow Mermail Atlantean's pace. Also, Abyssleed in the second combo is interesting for the additionnal discard, but suffers from the same thing as sharks, slows the deck (3 monsters to be summoned is way too much) and is pretty much useless if drew.
