The merrell look good if a bit tapered in the toe box & hopefully the damage/separation on the upper when you zoom in is just handling! Not really what you want to see at a shoe expo ?
Those chunky lugs look awesome. I just wish they were spaced tighter. I don't run in mud and don't care about muck sticking to the bottoms. When they're spaced too wide they wear out a lot quicker. Look to Saucony Peregrines for good spacing that lasts longer.
The mesh upper on those Long Sky 2 will start falling apart at 100 miles. That's what happened to me. Merrell did give me a refund. They also let in sand and fine mud as the mesh is very open.
