Popped down here this morning and the GWs are in full swing now, although there still seem to be quite a few young ones starting to pop up too. Noticed about five or six white ones whilst I was there.
@@OrchidHunterNottingham. The only GW site around here is the Wilwell Farm Cutting Nature Reserve. I have never seen white or rose pink forms here. But there are only maybe 100 plants in total.
I nearly sropped in on that Wilwell site last year but gave up in favour of a beer on a very hot day ! 90% plus will always be purple in some form but unusual not to have some decent variations. Bit of a trek but Marston Meadows isn't a million miles away from you and that - I promise - will blow you away big time !
