​@@NintenCity Something I wish to point out is that I don't know how accurate that conversation between Edelgard and Seteth is. I think it misses a bit of her character. Edelgard KNOWS it was Agarthan influence that commenced the experiments on her and her family. Yet she looks at things in the bigger picture anyway. Thinking to herself "this is just one part of a much larger issue" and this causes her to want the downfall of the Church as well. This is due to the fact that all the suffering caused by both the Agarthans and the Church are essentially all collateral damage of their endless cycle of hate and genocide against eachother that began when Sothis genocided the Agarthans, followed by the Agarthans killing Sothis after she fell asleep and then genociding her people in return, thus the War of Heroes which was just yet another retaliation from one side to the other. I don't know that Edelgard has the exact details, but she very much understands the premise and what it's wrought on the world.
