[Mersey Bus: St Helens to Rainhill] Alexander Type RL Leyland Atlantean NW Museum Of Road Transport 

That engine noise, wow. That brings back some memories.

The body on this is a Alexander AL - The RL was a Lowheight R Type body designed for integral chassis like the Olympian, Metrobus and Dominator. The AL is a body attached to a traditional rigid chassis, mostly Atlanteans and Fleetlines.

That engine is a dream to listen to I drove a few of these semi automatic gearboxes too so great

The sound of that engine reminds me of my school bus

A lovely wee change from your usual bus journey. Nice that the Museum has kept these buses in such beautiful condition and are still driveable.
