This may honestly be the best dual rec demo I've seen yet, and I've seen a metric ton on YT.

Today i bought my first Mesa Dual Rectifier Multi Watt, because of this demo lol!.

5:22 that open D chord sounds so glorious.

The So Real part gave me goosebumps. What a pristine clean tone, almost acoustic.

Mesa should put this on their site and pay royalties for your time and effort. Great, great job sir!

This MW version is the definitive Rectifier. I'm in love with mine.

IMO the best amp Mesa builds. Very open and crunchy. No lower mid mud. Great amp! The Reborn also has the awesome clean channel and Pushed mode for more vintage rock sounds.

Sounds awesome. I used to have a Tripe Rec from 2004 and I fully agree that Ch 2 was excellent as well. I can't get over that clean sound here also, that sounds lovely.

Glad to see the latest version of the Recto is the best one. So many products these days get worse with every new version. I've never been interested in Rectos before but now... wow.

Of course like a lot of folks I’ve searched and listened on RU-vid for all sorts of amps. Like all of them. Revv, Bogner, Marshall, and many many to name. But I’ll tell you what dude, this one sounds so good and versatile. It can really cover so many styles. Your playing is great as well of course. I have reconsidered getting a Friedman now that I’ve heard this clip again.

Well, THAT settles it...if you had this amp and a C+, you actually would have pretty much EVERYTHING covered tone-wise unless you just HAD to be an absolute purist and own the original amps. No offense to other amp lovers, and I know I’m somewhat biased, but this proves just how damn good Mesa stuff is. Shows how great Blake’s ear and playing is, too! As always, nice job Bro!🤘🏻

My Les Paul has that same exact high pitched annoying ringing sound you can hear in between riffs...you can definitely hear it in the first riff you played. A little duct tape on the strings above the nut makes it go away. Other than that, this sounds fantastic...This is really a prime example of what a Dual Rectifier can sound like. Nicely done!

that little ringing you hear when he stops playing is from the strings above the nut. high gain tones sometimes run into that problem and you can deal with it when recording by using a bit of electrical tape or something laid across the strings to mute them

Love the sounds! If you go on 'spongy' mode with Modern setting and gain rolled back a bit, you can nail the EVH brown sound with ease. I was surprised this amp is capable of so much. Also, I find the lead tones are killer on Vintage mode. Not as tight and snappy as a Mark amp, but still liquid with tons of sustain and depth.

Dude 80s riffs sounds great through rectos. I wish people would play more stuff like van halen or white snake through them but don't get me wrong it still sounds great with 90s nu metal

Looks like the loop was bypassed. If so that will be a major reason why this demo sounds better than most. Bypassing the loop really brings out the definition in the mids and reduces the fizz. It also helps that the volume was turned up a decent amount.

Man you make this sound smooth and pleasant. What mic(s) did you use for recording? I’m think i will remove silver jubilee from my setup and start using my vh2 with the dual. Was gonna swap the recto to vh2 to be used with my marshall, but 2nd channel on the dual is just so fine. Dual and vh2 is pretty solid setup for smaller gigs. Rock on.

This video is great! I love all the riffs you play and the amp sounds amazing. Would you say that the new multi watt dual recto they are making these days is closest to the old 2 channel rev F? Also, have you ever played the Badlander and compared it with this? To me it seems the Badlander sounds sort of like a cross between the dual recto and mark series. Your videos are really the best for amp tones!
