What speaker are you using in this cab? Sounds amazing! I am pretty decided on getting a JP2C too but can’t figure out what cab to get with it. I want something that sounds great at low volume since I’ll be using the amp for bedroom practice a lot
It is the 1x12 rectifier cab with vintage 30 speaker, www.mesaboogie.com/en-US/Product/0.112R.BB.F/1x12-Rectifier-Cabinet It’s a great sounding cab good for low volume. I actually recorded this video with low volume, i was actually surprised that this amp + cab combo can sound good at that volume.
Thanks man! Sorry I didnt include those, it was one of those days that I happen to just post things lol, it ended up a lot of people actually watching lol, so here’s my setup Ernie Ball Musicman Majesty smoked pearl 6 string guitars JP2C then 1x12 Mesa Cab Cel 30 Then the mic is sm57 goes to EVO 4 Interface then Cubase DAW No post EQ but have to lift the guitar with compressor in slate digital vmr. just double track record The preset is the same as the picture of the video, the great thing is this is in low volume recording! This amp is very good in room recording since i lived in a condo. Cheers man! Glad you like the sound! 🤘
JP2C with Axe FX III is the ultimate setup these days. I'd setup the JP2C mono with dry effects only (except amp reverb) and run the Axe FX in stereo with wet effects (delay, chorus, Mimiq) direct to PA or PC. I'm trying to save up for a JP2C now...
Thanks man! It ended my tone searching, i used to own fractal and other modelers, nothing comes close to this. I’m still learning how to mic it though. I’m suprised I can record with it at very low volume.
Sounds killer!! I am between a kemper and a mesa either this or the triple crown… many videos said kemper and fractal are really close when modeling but here you said they don’t 😢 ha ha now l am indecisive again … 😅
First video I've seen in a long time where the JP2C sounds amazing. I don't mean that in a trolling kind of way at all either. The amp is incredibly difficult to dial in. I had one and ended up selling it. I have a Badlander now and can get in the ballpark but this does sound really good.
wow thank you so much, It's true, it may seem straight forward to setup but it will depend on the room you're in, where is it located and how loud it is. I'm really happy that it can sound this good even on low volume. Great amp Badlander ive read so many great reviews, hopefully I could try one as well. Thanks again man!
Hello Juan, I had been wanting the JP-2C for the longest time, finally got one and like you said Incredibly difficult to dial in. I can get the bottom end to sound good then the high end sounds shrill or vice versa. I spend more time trying to dial it in than I do playing it. it just has this quaky tight sound I cant dial out. I think I'm going to sell it too, The Badlander is just so much more easier and fun to play and dial in!
