Still beautiful scenary on the Mesa . Seems a litle bit of a trailmaze but you got through it all . Made the same mistake regarding the distance between Grand Junction and the Utah border some days ago in one of my comments .So, when you hit the border :congrats on traversing Colorado ! I'm sure , looking at the map , there will be some time-outs between the video's in Utah (looks even more remote ) . Keep on trekking .
Just came back from two nights on the western flank of Pikes Peak, which has a strong elk population. Didn’t hear a single bugle, so I suspect you heard hunters honking.
It must be the coolest feeling in the world to see a pass or mountain on the horizon,squint at it judge your walking/hiking time arrive and get up an over it....
