Well, wat can I say? This album is sick af, and Tomas is insane.
I really enjoyed creating and recording this medley. It was hard (that goddamn Monstrosolo), but I'm satisfied enough with the result to put it on the tube. Troy Wright inspired me to make this, he is an enormous inspiration to me, if you haven't checked him out, go do that now. Anyway, hope you enjoy!

Very good job man! A drum medley cover is a must have for every Meshuggah album! Looks like you beat Troy Wright to it! I also love your snare sound! Any details on that snare and how you EQ'd/mixed it? And how old are you?

DemiUrge Thanks dude! It's a 14x6,5 Pearl Sensitone Custom Alloy Steel snare, very happy with this beauty. It's recorded flat but all the mics have a slight boost in the highs and high transient. And I'm 16 years old, and I was 15 in my previous cover! :)

DemiUrge I'd say Born In Dissonance, and if that's a bit much, Ivory Tower. It's pretty laid back and not too hard in general. But BID is bit more spectaculair, so I recommend trying that one first!

Ties Jehoul Wow BID was surprising.. I had trouble memorizing the patterns. Yeah Ivory Tower sounds easier than the rest definitely. I was actually thinking Our Rage Won't Die was managable(just from listening though). I have only tried the intro. Anyway, thanks a lot, I'll definitely give BID a try. And I subscribed. Wonderful medley! Just speculating, but did you use a click track for all of this? I'm just curious because all the songs are syncable except for Ivory Tower because they intentionally recorded that one without a click. How did you put this together?

Daniel Calderon Hey man! I made this using FL Studio, so I just loaded in the songs, searched for nice transitions and put it together. I only used a clicktrack in the transition from Into Decay to Our Rage, Dissonance to Violent Sleep and during the fill that I play between Nostrum and Ivory Tower. Further no clicks used!

Ties Jehoul FL?! I would have thought you used something like Logic/Pro Tools/Reason haha it's very well put together! I'm obsessed with using Logic to sync Meshuggah songs to a click to help me better understand their feel and to help me play along without getting off time--though completely understanding what seems like technical madness circling back to 4/4 every couple of bars kind of takes away from the confusing magic of Meshuggah. Don't do what I do! :p

Doesn't need some dick telling him what he has already picked apart! Guaranteed Ties has critiqued this vid millions of times... You did a fantastic job! Very difficult time signatures. Saying it looks like you have a bright future, is an understatement.

This kid is way too mechanical, he needs to feel more and think less. It will be more fluid that way. Either way you are a good drummer and gonna be a beast later on.
