Now this is spooky , literally 3 days ago got one of these with a similar intention of modifying it n here you are modifying yours , spot on its given me some ideas for mine
Nice innovative modifications, makes for a much more useful unit with multipurposes. Thank you for sharing. Stay well, stay safe...Helen and Katarin Juska-Law and Terri with Robyn.

@@outsidertank Nah, don’t be sorry. I’ve picked up some pretty cool stuff since I started watching your videos. I finally found a DPM parka that actually fit! This thing is awesome, it went through 2 days straight of heavy rain the day I got it. Stayed dry, that thanks goes to you 👍
I dont know what I like most... The jacket or the mod?? 😅 Mister Tank, thanks for sharing this nice idea, good job explaining us how to DIY. Now I feel under pressure by myself to come up with a at least as cool modification as yours 🙃😉 Schönen Sonntag euch nach Wales! Servus Torsten✖✖✖
Nice little cookset…I use the triangia 25 cookset a lot and switched to the bio ethanol fuel cheap enough on Amazon and burns cleaner than that purple meths that black’s the pots
Hi I've just done mine slightly differently. I drilled ventilation holes in the side like you but then drilled holes in the base and used it upside down.
I know what I do is illegal in UK and R Ireland and in most of Europe. Got to love being Canadian! Have you ever just for fun made a lean-to shelter using your truck? Best explanation would be a Defender 80…but I like to get home. You can have shade and a nice hight to work with. But at night with small adjustments it makes a right proper shelter. Yes I do use a poncho as a floor but weight isn’t exactly a worry. I know the next question. Why not bring a tent? Same reason I carry a beautiful wood Safari chair and table. Comfort and the ability to enjoy nature even when nature is not my loving mother.
Ahh I hate seeing waste my man, so I didn't mind sacrificing what would only be gathering dust. Thanks 4 the view and comment. That's really helpful for the channel thank you.
Another fantastic vid mate. The only thing I can think about saying that might help is the metal rods might be able to be swapped for a stainless straw cut in half. I’d guess that they’d cool down quicker and no problem with rust. Out!
Did the same with my Russian vdv airborne cook kit but use carbon felt in short polish tin as meths will not spill even if tipped upside down and kit has its own water bottle integration
I tend to use two or 3 different cooking systems drpending on what i do. Trangia 27, will do most things, kelly kettle scout its more tha a kettle, can cook on it too. Bcb crusader 2 will do most things and the flat folding stove hope it helps. You remind me of captain pugbash and his gang of pirates if you remember that.
