I loved watching this. The way you approach the questions ect. is very respectful and I find that really professional of you. I liked the questions and how you let Omar finish his sentences and truly say what he meant. Must have been nice for him as well ❤️
i get his logic but it's still making me kinda sad that he feels like he can't sing in swedish because he has an international audience who mostly doesn't know the language now. not knowing what the lyrics mean has never kept people from enjoying music and considering how easy access to foreign music is getting these days, people care even less. and that's without even mentioning how many insane(ly fast and dedicated) some fans are so you know that whatever he could be releasing, someone would translate it within hours, possibly with notes about vocabulary nuances and cultural details. and especially after this year's eurovision, it should be getting into the brains of non anglo musicians that, no, english is not necessary for your music to be successful or popular smh
yeah i dont know swedish at all and i actually love his swedish songs so much! The language sounds beautiful to me. but i think strategically his decision makes sense because there are so many more people who understand english and spanish compared to swedish, he can reach more people in english/spanish. also he mentioned he finds it harder to sing in swedish in another interview
You need to understand Omar and the logistics of what and how he's doing things in his career. 1) He's NOT natively a Swede --- he's natively a LATIN, therefore he desires to sing in Spanish [to "carry on" his "heritage"]. Since he grew up and lives in Sweden, it's now become his "home room" (think: school 7-12 grades) but he wants to venture out to do his actual learning and performing. Don't get me wrong. Sweden is definitely his starting base and he loves it. 2) He KNOWS English-speaking is not just popular, but also *HIS LARGEST AUDIENCE BY FAR [U.K. & USA, plus all the English speakers everywhere else {and it numbers in the hundreds of millions}].* Like all artists (music and TV/movies), HE ALSO KNOWS WHERE THE BIG MONEY IS: *and it's with the English-speaking audiences.* _So, it all boils down to popularity and money._ And remember, _he's done all of this so far without even a high-school education._
English is a universal language, the fact he wants more English or Spanish is because he wants everyone to be on board and understand everything. Love you Omar 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

@@alterlqve im also from italy and i understand what they're saying too, but we shouldn't shame people for asking for subtitles in their first language :/ there's nothing wrong with that, not everyone studied english in school, and even so listening to people speaking in a foreign language can be difficult
