My dog is 11 and I’m watching his body break down in real time and I’ve been really emotional about it. I try to spend a few minutes with him a day because he lives with my parents, but I still feel guilty that I can’t live with him and take care of him the way he deserves. Has anybody been through this? How did you handle the guilt?

I had to give mine away to a great foster home. She’s 12 and my schedule couldn’t keep up with her and all of the accidents. She was also developing social anxiety because I was gone so long and started acting out. It’s such a painful process watching them age 💔 I understand your pain completely!
