I've been thinking a little about how seldom Svetlana smiles, and I think I have it figured out. One of the best things about this band is their focus. They never get distracted, they're always listening to what they're doing and keeping it tight and clear and integrated. It's not just Oleg, either. All of them. She's not feeling negative. She's concentrating. She takes her music seriously. She's trying to remain loose while paying careful attention, because music has to be loose, but focused. She looks like that because she's trying really hard to do a good job, and she's succeeding. But she doesn't look like she's working hard. They're all real pros!
There's nothing to figure out. You can smile for two reasons: a response to something, or putting on a presentation. She's doing neither. If you expect women to put on a presentation for you just because they are women, maybe you're sexist?
@@lightotw if you automatically think men are sexist, maybe you are sexist? I didn't say anything about her being a woman. I see Oleg smile more than her. I smile more than she does. Almost anybody does. You drink too much Kool-Aid.
@@lightotw maybe if you think it doesn't matter if Oleg is enjoying himself you are sexist? Such a shallow and unthinking philosophy. Hopefully you learn that pandering like that doesn't get you in good with the ladies. The idea of just telling them what they want to hear to be ingratiating is truly, deeply sexist.
Its gotta be frustrating, energy-wise, to be playing awesome dance music, but end up with every bodies fuxxing phone in your face, good lord, no respect for th hard working-wanna dance- groove de universe any more. TYVM for the posting of this video, it has been noted...
Know those Atomic Mosquitoes long as ime..great bunch of fellows. They opened for SOUTHERN CULTURE ON THE SKIDS for a long time. Love living in Texas, but miss that NC Chapel Hill scene.
I love Hendrix but his distaste for surf music always bothered me 😂. But I get it… His music relied heavily on improvisation, and surf was like the antithesis of that.
@mikeybeazley3 In the Hendrix tune "Third stone from the sun", the line "And you'll never hear surf music again", to me, meant a break from the popular surf music and surf culture of the time. There was a convergence of British invasion music and psychedelic music coming out of s San Francisco, a burst of creativity in music not seen since then. Happy that so much was recorded.
Dick Dale told his friend, Jimi Hendrix, that he was diagnosed with an incurable cancer. That's why Jimi made that statement. but Dick Dale did survive.
