@gurkiratsingh3637I'm sure he will stay, he's just 36 yo, he may play in the MLS till 40, but I'm sure it gonna happen. he'll till the end of the contract and retire
“You cannot survive in the premier league without a good #9” Wolves since Raúl got injured: Why is everyone acting like I said every premier league club besides wolves has a good striker 😭
@@roy_mezz-awake2470 Left a full season before Haaland joined and played less than a third of the games the season beforehand scoring goals. City won both seasons.
@@dr.rickbooty didn’t know he came from the MLS, impressive. Took him a while to adjust but he had a great season last year, especially the first half. Be interesting to see if he can keep his place.
@@GuinessOriginal Yea, Almiron struggled because he thought he could play the same way in Premier League like he did in MLS. But, it can't work because for one, his side isn't the most dominant and two, the quality of opponents and tactics are much better. In Premier League, you have to be sharper on and off the ball. In MLS, Almiron can take A heavy touch and still recover, and even if he lost it, his side would still dominate possession, so it wouldn't mean as much. A lot of credit should go to the manager, Eddie Howe, because he noticed Almiron's weaknesses and worked on him. He went to the basics, Academy style training with Almiron.
Luton were in the top division for the ten years before the reorganisation and the renaming of 'Division 1' to the Premier League (which, full pedantry, was orignally the FA Premiership) - they finished 20th in the last season of the old structure in 1991-92 and so were relegated from 'Division 1' to 'Division 1 (which was later renamed 'the championship' - keep up). Best placed finish was 7th in 1986-87.
Very informative and well written. Good job, pal. Unfortunately, allot of these youtube/tiktok children think the English top flight has only existed since 1992.
As a Luton fan I can assure you that we do not want Martinez. This transfer makes no sense for us, why would we want a 30 yr old whos never played in the PL?
@abbyxblossom864 he has had a hear since that injury to get back to his form and he hasn't. The man is past his best rn and is on the decline. Sometimes injuries derail careers and this is just another example of one. He isn't prem quality and likely won't ever be again
To be fair Luton are a favourite to get relegated (they won't in my opinion) but Martinez probably doesn't want to risk being relegated and having to move again when he can just stay at Inter Miami and play with Messi
If messi is signing and you are the striker. staying for atleast one season is very logical, because the eyes messi is gonna be a bringing to the game is gonna make you even more popular. Definitely will get a better offer next season and playing with GOAT is a very respectable bragging right.
Playing with Messi is more important than playing for Luton Martinez already made money with mls and playing with the best player of all time is something every professional can say ..
I remember Martinez playing in Italy at Torino FC being benched nearly every game and when on the pitch being quite horrible to watch playing... Very happy for him for his improvements during these last 6-7 years👍👍
well ofc he improved but truth just is the mls isnt a good league, the average player over there would have trouble getting a spot at any club in the highest divison of the top countries. this is no hate btw but simply the reason due to football / soccer not being that popular over in america. theres football, basketball, even baseball so many kids prefer more so its difficult to make the sport / talent bigger.
@@michaelfellner9822 This is true, no doubt... However scoring 25+ goals per season can be beneficial for self-esteem changing your way to stay on the pitch, it makes the difference between "having an easy life" in a "lower tier" league or trying to be decisive no matter where you play... This makes the athlete more complete, let's say... For the league itself, yes, there are money but the competition with other sports is still too strong, I think that the USA national team will be still filled with strong players that play in Europe for a very long time and they will eventually bring home the mentality and the knowledge necessary to improve the "soccer education system" in the US that will create more strong players inside the MLS itself... I think it's a matter of time, but USA already reached the knock-out stage of the WC 3 times in the last 4 editions (in 2018 I remember they didn't qualify, but I could be wrong) so quality of US players has become consistent (Italy played its last knockout match in a WC in 2006, the final vs France, so this shows how important US's results are), maybe in 1 or 2 generations of players MLS will consistently arise because of their younger talents...
he wants to play with the goat but he himself will never reach messi's potential or status the audacity he has to not play in the best league in the world disgusts me and i say this as a spursfan
Average spurs fan. If he wanted to play in the best league in the world, he’d go to Italy. He clearly just wants to meet his idol you casual, I guarantee you’ve never watched a single game of football in your life
@@TOlp-oe3fp are you sure im 45 years old am a long time spurs fan i probabky know more about football than your entire family does have you even been to a pitch letalone a stadium?
Cheap dig at their ground, good work! :/…. Modern World Class International Stadiums are great but places like Kenilworth are full of history, romance, nostalgia, bang in the middle of the community. Money obviously talks in football these days but for me it’s a sad moment each time one of these old Stadiums disappear.
"First Ever Time" You Need To Understand They Played In The First Division Beforehand Until They Got Relegated Right Before The Most Prestigious Competition In The World, The Premier League Was Founded In 1992.
Nicola Tresoldi ( Hannover ) Victor Boniface ( Union ) David Nemeth ( HSV ) Jan Mlakar ( Hajduk ) Santiago Gimenez ( Feyenoord ) A.Alvarez ( Sassuolo ) Just few that come in mind first , Plenty more good 10M options out there
Neither are PL proven just yet, but I think Carlton Morris and Eli Adebayo have enough about them to lead the line for Luton, both are strong and good in the air, not going to get bullied by a lot of CBs. If Luton sign the right wingers/midfielders to get them the ball and make good runs off their hold up play they could get a few points off teams that they can counter
@@thefootballrealm Still the top division though!! Ask Liverpool fans they have only 1 PL title but 18 league titles. It's still the same division just a different name with more money. Luton had a good team. They played on an astroturf pitch. Stein brothers, Ricky Hill , Roy Wegerle and Les Sealey.
So before Messi arrived to Inter Miami the team had lost 12 games in a raw and this top notch scorer who ditch the premier league just to play with Messi didn’t do enough scoring to prevent this bad situation that inter Miami was going through! I think the English team is better off without this player
Not the goat lol . 😂😂😂 . How can he be in a world where Cristiano Ronaldo exists ? You guys really take this fake debate to a whole new level. Be quiet even Messi would be honored to shine Ronaldo’s boots .
@@alurianirudh1918absolutely correct ..... But in messi's boot there is already a world cup shining....... Stop comparing them man ...... Like rio said... Enjoy them until you can
@@soumikroy940true man I am a Ronaldo fan but I don't go to every video' s comment section to start a debate and messi is even in my top 5 favourite player
The guy would have failed in england anyway. Dude was in the MLS in his prime after all and before that he didnt even managed to get into the squad at Turin and Young Boys. Now 30 and you can already see hes declining look at his stats this season.
Alejo Veliz from Rosario Central. 14M pounds, and in 2 years they’ll sell him for 70/80. Kid is special. Tall, quick, great pace, great finishing, amazing first touch. If Luton signs him, he’s scoring 12/15 goals his first season no doubt
After seeing Martinez play with the ball, Luton should be happy, dude is barely good with the ball between his leg. He has good finnish, but damn he is bad with the ball
If Beckham didnt buy Inter Miami, Messi wouldnt go to MLS. Wait, if United didnt sign Beckham, he wouldnt even got the money to buy Inter Miami. Wait...
Messi is amazing obviously. But to renounce the opportunity to play in Europe nevermind the permier League (specially for an MLS player) is the wrong move.
As much as he wants to play with Messi I still think he should have moved. The dude is in prime and staying in the MLS won't help him. Europe is for the big boys and MLS is still developing.
There are some big questions about Miami right now because it's not clear how they can sign multiple new players and obey the salary cap rules. Miami already has 3 DP's and they are adding two more players with salaries that would presumably take them over the salary cap. So it might not matter what Martinez wants - Miami has to shed players right now or face more sanctions for violating salary rules.
Ngl Josef would have been a bad idea for Luton. He's been doing jack shit the past few months, although he did have some good seasons in atlanta united. His current form in Inter Miami is quite bad, and he probably would've subtracted more than anything at Luton
Luton dodged a bullet because Josef Martinez has been trash since he tore his ACL a couple seasons ago. He is a shadow of his former self now and wouldn't be good enough for the prem.
