I know I’ll get a lot of hate for this comment, but are the subwoofers delayed to match the allignment of the tops or not? I mean for something that little I myself don’t but to it is proper.
That's the best thing about the built in mic on our camera: the amount of distortion in the video directly correlates with how loud it was at the event. For reference, I've measured the mic to start distorting at around 120dBC.
Hi friends, I'm DJ EDWARD E from Colombia. I really like your team and I would like to know what reference of sound and lights you use? Sure, it's not annoying.
Okay this is a question that i'm pretty sure hasn't been asked before... Like you guys, I'm not the biggest of dudes and heavy lifting and DJing leads to a hell of allot of physical fatigue. How do you guys deal with this fatigue especially when lifting/ moving so much equipment for a 3 man crew?
wheels! also, we had 4 people for this. our rigs are generally very optimized to deploy with as little effort as possible. after we loaded it all in, we set this up in like a little over an hour if i recall correctly
Ever thinking of buying your own subs for your larger events instead of renting the soundbridge subs? Or would it make more sense business wise to stick with the rented subs
Quote from doug here: "The subs we're happy with for the most part so that's okay, but they are the next item on our list of things to buy But like, we needed tops, cranks, stage, barrier, and we spend way more on renting lights than subs so that was also more important And yeah, we do get the subs for crazy cheap. Even if we had bought subs 3 years ago and never rented these, we would only barely be better off. So it was a good decision to keep renting rather than buy But we're trying to grow, and in order to do we need to own gear. For example, if we do 20 events per year and have to rent for all of them, or if we do 200 per year and have to rent for all of them, the actual financial growth is tiny because our annual rental expense rises proportionally to the number of events we do, ie, no growth But if we own all the gear, extra events directly equal extra income"
ah no... a pair of thv would only get you to 137 db. plus, at 160db your ears would literally be bleeding and your eardrums would have ruptured you would need about 400 thv speakers to reach 160 db
Freddie2102 just one usually, sometimes two. We're not a multi op company and generally tend to do one larger event rather than many smaller events on a given day
Hey guys can you guys give these speakers a chance Das audio event 212 3000 watt powered line array and the sub Das audio event 218 3600 watt dual 18 subwoofer plzz take a look at it
I've actually heard both of those boxes in person and was not very impressed with either of them. There's 0 chance we would consider buying any, they're way too low tier to satisfy our quality standards.
