Yes You're right, as we get involved into the action things starts to happen. We are able to do a lot of paranormal things like opening/closing portals fex. if You can find a skilled and strong enough. Yeah, they go to use it for this nonsense and then oops... Accidentally protected the place. Actually, let them continue to accidentally protect a place, better than what damage they'd do if they did something "right"... I mean worse than half the stuff some individuals ALREADY do. I still get a kick out of my hometown when they discovered a very old Pentacle in the church and claimed it had to be teens that defaced the church... Until they found out it has been with the church as long as it has been standing, meaning it definitely wasn't teens and nothing bad has happened at the church until they freaked out over the discovery. Just to be clear I'm not part of a very known religion and my family has very old traditions that stem FROM older Witchcraft. I'll add that of my family, my estranged elder sister is the only one that's hard Christian, the rest of us are either part of the niche religion I mentioned or Church Of England since most of them are here from England. A few of them are also Wiccan; Celtic Wiccan in specific. And yes this does cause conflict issues with others who are much more upset over us not being from a religion they approve of (I have dealt with many who had issues with it that were mainly Christian and Catholic... Mostly Catholic, and it has cost me my job before just for having a religion they didn't like). People freak out SO easily over a symbol they have no idea about and just jump to conclusions and call it Satanic. What's funny is the upside-down cross or crucifix isn't evil either, THAT was done by request of Saint Peter as a sign of respect since he didn't want to be crucified like Jesus since he felt unworthy, apparently. Just because I'm not Christian doesn't mean I can't research symbols for context, and that includes the upside-down cross/crucifix.

​@@coroixiwa I agree with you, I am catholic btw but that doesn't mean I think the way they express the religion is right, like you said, the reversed cross is seen as a satanic symbol even by the church in spite of the disciple stating that he was not worth being executed the same way as Jesus which to me seems to be very honorable and it is sad that it is not seen as what it is supposed to be even by the church

It's interesting though, because copper is a highly efficient conduit. So if you're trying to a ritual and put "energy" into a symbol, it would make sense to have said symbol made out of a material that is a good conduit of energy. Just my two thoughts on it.

Thanks for saying this. If you had not, I would have. Witches are not all alike. Some use their beliefs to cause harm but I would say most do not. You're absolutely right. They immediately started off with footage from 80s Satanic Panic stories. I don't know how long you've been practicing, but those were really bad times for us. People were influenced by these b.s. stories and a lot of us couldn't be open about our religion. Now it seems a lot of people want to bring back that old garbage and recycle it. It makes me angry because all TP would have to do is about fifteen minutes of research to use the terms that they use properly instead of trying to inflame others with misinformation. Instead, they are lazy and they make crap up for views and sensationalism. A mentally ill teen hurting others because they think they are worshipping the devil is not Witchcraft, nor Satanism. It's mental illness full stop.

Excluding the wannabe- Hot Topic - this is a fad- but the clothes are cute witches, the real witches of the world have a deep connection to nature, hold all life dear and mentally live between light and dark with great understanding of both, seeking the wisdom to command each for the sake of enlightenment and aid to others. I cannot express how tired I am of the stereotyping and demonization. Maybe one day, we will get to the point where witchcraft does not equal wrongdoer.
