SeeReax at his wits end with this absolute monster of a boss; "It can't get harder than this, this is insane." The rest of the community sitting on those white stairs at the end of the DLC; *"I'm sorry little one..."*
Messmer's just badass. I don't think any other dlc boss in terms of design or aura comes close to him. But he's the the 2nd to last necessary boss. They did the same thing with Malenia as well I think.
Seeing you dilly dally through the game after watching Afro struggle is honestly the funniest coincidence in a while , so glad this DLC came out man Edit: This comment aged like milk 😭
@@corn9518bro essentially chipping Bayle but still thinks he's beatable lmao. Afro just needs to explore for 5 mins and the DLC will be infinitely easier.
Hey SeeReax, for future reference, If you lose your runes, you can pick them up without worrying about dying if you equip a Sacrificial twig into one of your talisman slots.
Not joking when i say most of my motivation comes from your energy in your vids. My depression makes it hard to get up most days but u being ur goofy ass self makes it a lot easier. Much love to u, been watching for years an that isnt stopping anytime soon 🖤
My respect for seereax has increased tremendously. Man found a weapon he liked based game, stuck to it, and has conquered everything in his path. Much respect man your bower is unlimited
Fun fact: if you’re quick enough, you can summon Hornsent right after killing Messmer solo and still progress his quest as if you summoned him during the fight
you look at the "attribute scaling" to see how weapons scale in terms of how you level your stats and how the damage correlates with it. For Radahn's swords, it's Strength->B scaling and Dex->D(?) scaling so you still want to level strength more
I had to use the Summon AND my Mimic Tear for this fight, and it STILL was a struggle. It's always awesome to watch someone beat these kind of boss fights solo, mad respect.
Idk how much hours of recording it took for this vid but to get it down 46 mins and change must have taken a lot and so ty for sharing this from your perspective Elden Lord Reax
fun fact the Serpent hunter is actually some of the best weapons in the game and the most commonly used weapon for speedruns mostly though since it's a Somber with 0 requirements but it's posture damage is also really good.
I defeated Mesmer today and Jeez... This mf is tough!!! It took me at least 110 attempts, I even changed my atributes, change my spells, try a twenty differents charms for the fight and nothing changed at all... The only way that I could suceed was play paciently, learn the whole moveset for the both phases and do not panic roll when he hits me once... And wow is so easy to freak out after so many defeats... But the sensation of finally defeats him is UNSPEAKABLE!!! 🎉🎉❤
Basically some stafs have soft caps not sure of them exactly but your weapons do have strenght scaling on b so you should go strenght but you hit the cap like 20 points before or smth. Dex will keep adding more damage probably now that you hit the cap and int will also boost the ability damage not sure of base attacks. (Mind you strength will still do something but it is debatable if it's worth it)
You passed a total of 4 secret walls in the episode that you finally found one. I love watching you play cause it reminds me of my own struggle on this game
@@skywalker1217 it is one of the best weapons in the game used for glitch less speedruns and in general huge ar, huge poise damage and huge range with no requirements. At the very least top 10 in the base game.
@@ParasocialLadyboysWompwomp i am not talking about what he meant but what he said. He obviously didn't mean that the weapon is completely useless but he said it that way which is funny (to me at least) when u consider that it is one of the best weapons in the game.
GG bro, Since last night I've been trying to beat him but I can't, this boss is extremely difficult. The big problem with him is that he leaves absolutely no respite to heal himself and as our character takes 115 years to drink his vial, we almost always take damage at the same time. In any case, bravo for your patience 😉
41:02 I feel your pain man. I had that same shit happen to me 3 times. Idk what it is about this fight but i swear he’s using the damn force to make me miss my damned jump attack.
Whenever you die in a boss area with runes. Respawn, Run in, Grab them then exit to menu and it’ll spawn you outside the boss room. That’s how i usually get my runes back (Only if it’s a lot Ill do it)
Congrats on the victory! You showed real tenacity, like you always do. Don't get overly stressed! Your videos are always fun, and I hope they're fun for you too!
i’m not even glazing but seereax is actually just good at the game this man afro will have whole comprehensive builds and will be getting cooked meanwhile this man is unga bungaing with booty talismans and physick mad respect
Bro Seereax playing on mad challenge run difficulty ☠️ Like I 1000% understand and agree with the principle of not wanting summons and wanting to play blind, but at some point you have to realize you're being stubborn and either educate yourself on the game or accept the fact that you're going to be dying 10x more. Ignoring the build issues, the jump attack habit that he's created where he literally ONLY uses those was probably his main issue here. Not trying to backseat, just trying to say sometimes you're being a bigger obstacle to yourself than the boss is based on how you're playing.
Keep in mind how Afro did vs this boss and bro is the definition of hard headed sometimes and was struggling with basic enemies for a while. ☠️ He took a step back and put things into perspective about how he was playing though, that's the important part.
I really recommend playing online cause it’s super funny what people have so say and help you find secret that would hours upon hours of exploring areas to find normally.
Increasing stats like str and dex increases the weapons physical damage, usually plateauing around 68ish to 70(don’t quote me). If the weapon has a int or faith requirement that’ll tie in to its secondary damage, in this case the magic damage on the greatswords
You have a mission you must accomplish, deon. It's not only a mission, but your purpose of playing the dlc is to defeat that one boss. Then you will be him for real.
I 100% respect the fact he does not use summons. I 100% have been using summons the entire playthrough. I love the DLC; however, i could not face the same boss for the 100th time and not try a different approach
Scadu level 5 is a challenge I’m sure. I was on 8 when I fought Messmer. I actually struggled less on him than I did on Rellana and Bayle, I think he took me around 20 tries (Rellana couldn’t have taken me fewer than 60), but the time I beat him I managed to get really well timed posture breaks barely into his 2nd phase. He was down to 25% health really quickly after starting his second phase, and I managed to kill him before he ever did that one crazy pit of snakes attack.
With the scourge swords dexterity and strength increase the damage. Intellect does too but not as much. Those are my favorite swords and they deifnitely benefit the most from Strength and Dexterity
