I don't think she broke any law though. Harmonie needs to know the law inside out to defend herself. If you know how to remove yourself from the jurisdiction of the police they can't stop you playing. However until you learn how to stand up to them with lawful force (stating your intention to sue them for malfeasance if they overstep), they will bother you until you stop playing. You need to learn how to turn the tables on them. I know because I have busked in the non-busking zone in Birmingham and the police couldn't move me on because I knew the law too well to fall into any of their traps. If you even answer their questions you have given them joinder. They are well trained, you have to get VERY smart to win this game.

The police officer displayed racist and hateful behavior and should be terminated from her position immediately. She's not someone who should be allowed to enforce the law anywhere. She needs to find a job working from home and not one working with the public. Sticking out her tongue was both arrogant, childish and rude.

The UK like here in the US is in a big mess because we the people to large extent have forgotten the Lord God of Heaven who in His great love for us desires to bless us with peace, true prosperity and freedom in the context of order and stability, i.e. love your neighbor as yourself. PS as a "yank" and Texan who has been joyfully privileged to visit and live a bit in the UK and your glorious Isles steeped in rich heritage of both history and even wondrous mystery, even the roots and fruits of much of the goodness of our American heritage and freedoms, I think of you "Chaps" with delight and a big thank you. In my city in south central Texas we have four or five Spanish missions dating back four- or five-hundred years, which is really quite rare here. This woman is a gem. She didnt make any assumtions about the cops behaviour. She packed up her things despite probably not having to. She remained calm and polite in a stressful situation.
