Anyways, i am writing a meta-analysis and the studies involved in my analysis are mostly interventional cross sectional study, that means there are not contorl and treatment but rather outcomes of a certain effect. if i am constructing a forest plot like yours how can i explain the graph, if the dots are on both sides as yours, will it be possible to talk about sinificant to the outcomes?

Can I change how many figures are displayed after decimal for the overall effect size? My overall effect size is 1.004 and the default 2 decimal places was showing it as 1.00 instead. For your first question: For example, you may want to change line 44 into: metan _logES log_LCI log_UCI , eform effect(Odds_Ratio) label(namevar= Author, yearvar= Publication)saving(metan_log,replace) After "eform effect" I changed it into "Odds_Ratio", it will show it also in the graph. A very very helpful video. How can I calculate the standard error from the confidence interval so that I can go on and create a funnel plot to assess the publication bias?
Is there a way to window the forrest plot? for example if I have one variable which has upper confidence interval to 15 but the rest of my OR stop at 2, I would like to show those in more detail and just allow the outlier to go off screen

Hi, this worked for me thank you so much. I just wondered if I can change the width of the columns. My command is: metan prev_new lci uci, lcols (Author Year Country Studydesign Method) astext(60) by (Age) nowt nooverall nosubgroup xlabel(0.1, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50) xsize(10) ysize(8) null(0.05) It produces what I would like, however the columns are really far apart which means it overlaps with the null line. Is there some other code I can add?
Hello. Thank you. Yes, this is possible but I am not sure right now. You may want to adjust the numbers in this example "textsize(110) astext(60)" and see what happens. Otherwise you can always check the options if you type help metan in stata. Good Luck

Hi Sadaf, If you copy the command make sure that the variables in your data have the same name. Further, did you install the commamd with the ssc install package?

Sir, I am currently working on a meta analysis. But I am not able to produce association studies of allele contrast (A vs a). Except that all are done but can not understand how to calculate A vs a frequency. If you help me out it will help me a lot. Thanks
