This one is actually really good and goes well with the IBM FullStack Javascript Certificate. The problem I have with the META Backend is that it is done in python...its still a good Certificate but could be difficult for newbies coming from the front-end Certificate.

I am currently taking this course, and on the JavaScript portion. Disclaimer, I am a complete beginner to coding. I find the course to be sloppy. Some of the lessons in the modules are seemingly out of order and many of them double up on the same information with slight variation. Some of the readings seem to just be transcripts from videos that are very poorly edited. It is kind of shameful for a mega corporation with the resources of god to not be able to put this out fully spell-checked and well edited. I also think there is a significant lack of practice. There just are not enough practice exercises and you will need to seek out other ways to practice if you want a sufficient amount of practice in order to be proficient with the concepts covered.

@@MohamedAbdulkader-cu1lj I started it two months back. I am on part 7 now. I think some people can do it in two months others maybe more , 4 months of consistency can be a good range

Is this course recommended for someone who already works as a fullstack dev for 1.5 years and wants to learn more and improve his portfolio? No, I guess?

It is very beginner focused, perhaps it would be better with a more advanced course

I think it would be better to checkout coding addict on RU-vid or javascript mastery. They have really good projects for your portfolio...though I feel the META certificates are good for review and when you complete them they do give you access to the META job board

I would suggest looking up the following on RU-vid if you want to improve your portfolio. I think taking the Meta certificates and the IBM certificates are good refreshers...but if you want to build a decent portfolio, I suggest taking the free courses below and then modifying and adding. things to them to make them your own.
