No matter ho much technology advances,The best way to study is by Classroom method and anyday the Erase board explanation will have edge over those fancy presentations..Because teacher can never get involved with the teaching by that premade presentations and You prove that again and again. You dont have an idea How many videos and sites I have browsed to go through this Tandem enzyme regulation..And You explained it ridiculously easily. Thanks a ton man !!!

the best way is teaching on board and then showing gross pics through slides.
@signalrod2213

but also only because of advanced technology this method works for many, the key difference is that you have the ability to pause or rewind, which you can't do irl in class

@@signalrod2213 if more professors allowed students to take them back without making them feel bad that'll be the case in real life too
@signalrod2213
@signalrod2213 Год назад
@@praisehart7737 it's not exactly like that: putting myself in professors skin, how is it professors fault that I zoned out for 15 mins, and I don't feel like studying rn, I rather do it in 40 mins. You can't just listening to a lecture when you are tired of it and don't feel like you are accepting all the information, you can't just stop and look up some other topic, which you missed, and spend like 30 mins learning that first and then coming back to this one
@signalrod2213

I have a question: why does a higher ADP/ATP ratio (as in a low energy state within the cell) inhibit Pyruvate Carboxylase and Fructose 1,6 Bisphosphatase? Don't we need more energy in a low energy state? And so shouldn't gluconeogenesis increase when the cell has low energy, so more glucose is made and can be broken down for energy?

One more error, around 20:37. Although Glucagon, Epi, and NE activate PKA and can stimulate glycogen breakdown, which is a GNG favoring process, Epi and NE inhibit the enzyme F-2,6 BPASE which is a GNG enzyme. From this we can deduce that Epi/NE are glycolysis favoring as they're promoting glucose mobilization for immediate use as opposed to relieving stored glucose (glycogen) for the purpose of maintaining homeostatic energy demands.

I think there's an error around 14:50 when talking about ADP & acetyl CoA's influence towards pyruvate carboxylase activity. High levels of acetyl CoA would indicate we are in a fed state, there's a surplus of energy. If that's the case then high acetyl CoA would inhibit pyruvate carboxylase activity. Additionally, if ADP is high, we are in a low energy state; therefore, we would want to increase pyruvate carboxylase activity to produce more OAA and eventually more glucose via GNG.
