Listen, I know you aren't killing it with views but you are awesome. I have traveled in your shoes and the insights into real life are what draw me. I felt the meaningless of modern engineering roles in my soul.
As an “enterprise” engineer, yes, hu-po is right. Most roles that aren’t coding focused are bullshit. A PM who doesn’t code anymore becomes a glorified messenger from the business, you almost never talk with the architect and when you do they’re only as good as their ability to code when they aren’t doubling as the system engineer, UI/UX people can just give us a wireframe because we don’t need the additional context, QA, while important, can be automated and done by engineers who didn’t work on that part of the code as long as they’re okay with annoying their coworkers by adding to their workload when they break shit, and a lot of the bureaucracy that does exist is needlessly confusing/obtuse because it is from legacy systems from a bygone era that doesn’t make sense to maintain in its current form if you want fast results.
Eventually when there is no physical posibility for this context window to continue on, due to exhausting every life extension technology.. the system falls back on the next closest thing to you -- the next available genetic lineage. turns out dna is replicating for a reason lol -- to continue existing..

I think you mean thorium, uranium or plutonium reactor or Russian natural gas. Not reactions that require as much work as they output lol. Fission is free energy because all the work of fusing heavy nuclei beyond iron was done for us by Neutron Star collisions - storing HUGE amounts of kinetic energy into the nuclear bonds, ready to snap with just one extra neutron and whip lash that neutron star kinetic energy as soon as a neutron upsets the delicate balancing act... All the work is done for us billions of years ago, ready to give itself to us for free.. Fusion is a NEEDY reaction that demands the gravitational pressure of an entire star an 100,000 Kelvin temperature. Sorry but that isnt "Free energy" -- thats WORK, and the net output, if true, is barely more than what you put in. Thats not Power. That's Work. Fusion is for storing the energy to later be released during fission a few billion years later lol. We need to recognize what the universe is offering us.. NEUTRON STARS COLLIDED to create uranium , this impossible atom so unlikely to exist and unstable and impermanent and temporary... Yet we are looking at HYdrogen, a proton, which has no quality that even Should make it particularly "energy abundant". What energy? It proton? its electron? Its one neutron? Wheres this extra energy lol
