It pretty obvious that Perry knows who Superman is. After all he saw him and Lois kiss at the end of MoS. I think Perry keeps it a secret because he likes the idea of being able to boss Superman around.

What most people I have met have never understood about this scene is that all these meta human files Lex has..... Are not just a cool Easter egg setting up the future.... Lex was meaning to use each one of these meta humans against superman....batman was like plan A Wonder woman plan B And the other four as contingency.... Doomsday was after Lex was taught by the kryptonian ship how to make one.... That's why Lex waited until after the call from batman did the animation of doomsday count begin!!! "No one stays good in this world" Anyone that thought that was a terrible line clearly don't get the situation he's in at all. Obviously he was getting manipulated, and put into a situation with having to make a really hard choice with Martha's life being threatened. It was a confusing place Superman got placed in. Either he kills Batman to save her, or has to convince Batman to help him in some way which would've been very difficult considering Batman has been pushed way over the edge and may not listen at all. Like if you remember when he spoke to that woman in Gotham and she said "a man like that words don't stop him"

0:27 I love how Clark looks ill almost that he's going to be sick in that moment contemplating if he's going to have to kill Bruce or not. He obviously wants his help but he's put into a position that truly challenges all that he has to live up to as the world watches the controversial Superman. If he doesn't kill him Martha dies and doomsday is unleashed if he does kill him and bring him the head of the bat the world watches in horror as there beloved savor is seen as a cold blooded Murderer only for Luthor to take the credit for his defeat if and when doomsday defeats him since he created him. And if Batman kills Superman then Luther won't have to create doomsday and now he would be able to continue his criminal activities without the red cape watching over his head and taking out Bruce probably isn't a huge obstacle in his head. This is what you call genius writing. There are stakes and consequences at every turn of the way. And for those who say Lex's plan is too complicated i respectfully disagree. I think its perfectly laid out for a man as smart as he is. He didn't miss a single angle and evolved and changed his plan accordingly to the obstacles in his way. In the end he got what he wanted but also go what he didn't. The death of the Superman but the threat of Darkseid now dwells over him. Weirdly enough he accidentally forces the creation of the Justice league when he allows Bruce to steal the data from his home and by doing so he locates the other heros of earth to form the Justice League to protect earth from interstellar and planetary threats. This work in Lex's favor again because he cannot continue his criminal and world conquering activities if earth is destroyed by the forces of apokolips so the relationship between heros and villians in this DC world ends up being reciprocal.

This scene would’ve been so much cooler if all of those clips were in each characters solo movie being replayed rather than all of their introductions....

The first time I saw this on the theater I literally had chills. I stil do, but it also makes me sad realizing that no matter how good the Snyder cut gets, it still would have been better if they did separate movies for each character before releasing Justice League

For the original plan for the DCEU, after we were supposed to be done with Darkseid, it was to reveal that Reverse Flash was behind of every single terrible threat that happened in the series. That he was pulling the strings the whole time. That he did it all to ensure the Justice League breaks apart and goes into war with each other, just to mess with Barry. With that, it's possible that Reverse Flash probably ensured that Lex Luthor gets all of this information, including about Luthor finding out that Barry is the Flash from grocery store footage. Just imagine Reverse Flash saying "It was me, Barry."
