All of the insanity in this world and people are worried about this family's lawn?!

As if there's not more important things the parish could be doing rather than harassing people about a small garden. It's amazing how on the ball they are about attacking homeowners, But they can't keep parish property trimmed.

I think what these two did is awesome fwiw. Unfortunately, we live in a cookie cutter world with a lot of pretentious a-holes 🤷

Agree with another comment - get an EDGE on the garden to make it look more intentional. Consider planting more structural trees/plants inside that garden as well. A small conifer or shrub surrounded by native flowers is lovely. My “front yard” is a 4’ wide grass path thru 2 raised veg beds, a few ornamental shrubs & trees, oodles of native plants and a fig tree. Oh yeah….and some weeds! 🤣 Good luck to this couple. I applaud the early effort and note they CAN make this look prettier.

JP has so many trashy homes with junk cars parked out front, that I cannot beleive they are worried abou this little patch of wildflowers.

More people should be putting wildflowers in their yards to feed the bees and butterflies. Stop moving a lawn that is not beneficial to our environment

To the family who is being harassed, please go to your local parish meetings and raise hell about some crazy Karen in the neighborhood jealous of your free spirit! We all know those flowers won't remain that high! The winter will kill them off and this beautiful young family wants to use every inch of their property in a very humble and humane way and can't because of neighborhood restrictions? Surely the property tax is already paid , right? Why do we pay property tax on property we already own anyway! These people aren't asking the parish/city to maintain the gardens! Dammmmm let people live

That is sad , all this talk about going green, they are helping the bees and birds, who ever complained is a sick person.

Parish has codes for a reason...neighbors don't want to see broken down cars or uncontrolled plants and weeds in their neighborhoods. This is how cities work...if people do not want to conform to codes, move to the country or rural areas.
