Metal´s Forge #6 : Chronicle (2012) feat. Jay 

Fun fact: Moviebob's original review of this film is largely a discussion of how unfair it is that the movie made Andrew the bad guy, when he's the guy bob relates with the most.

You guys didn't say anything about one of my favorite scenes, the rock skipping scene. Throughout the movie, all the main characters have a particular specialty when it comes to their power. Andrew is obviously the most powerful, but he's brutish in most ways except using his camera. He's the strong one. While Steve is the inventive one. He's the first one to use the power in new ways, except the lightning scene. Andrew may be able to use his power better, but he's not creative. Steve needs to show him and Matt, introduce the ideas before they get it. But then in the rock skipping scene we get Matt's focus. Skipping rocks with his mind. Matt is far better than either of them at doing little things with his power. He's not strong, he's not creative, but he's more easy going. Which lends himself better to delicate works, like putting a thread in a needle, pick up specks, probably even choose one snowflake or grain of sand and pick just that one up. Skipping rocks guys, more important than you think.

I saw this movie in theaters on my 17th birthday, it'll always hold a special place in my heart

This is one of my favorite movies as a teenager. When the kids use telekinesis to fly it blew my mind.

Omgosh two of my favorites podcasters discussing an interesting movie. I think this and Push are under rated films when discussing the use of super powers and the direction of scenes featuring them.

The issue with niche expensive medications is that if the only patient the pharmacy has on it has a history of not being able to, or barely being able to pay for the med then the pharmacy is kind of fucked if they blindly order the med. Because then the pharmacy just eats the cost of that med when it expires because no one else is on it. The movie could have just had Andrew ask or find out where the med is ordered from and to go there

damnit I wanted to catch this stream live. My biggest gripe about this movie is that it pushes the "revenge bad forgive good" preachy BS that 95+% of movies do.
