I went metal detecting in the creek at an old ford site, I found all kinds of evidence in the creek/small river that it was in fact a crossing path at one time. Then I went on a short Gold dredging hunt with Little Feet and my brother Matt for about 1 hour. We didn't stay long but we had fun and that is what counts . *Extremely light weight It also Bestfor.Garden land for finding any things very easily. Walked out my door using this for the first time and within two feet of my stone driveway found 3 items. The complaints i see from others looks to be people who dont read instructions. Very informative directions.

I love watching your videos because you're always happy about whatever you find, no matter how small it is. Some other people on youtube only look for the big fancy stuff, and get upset when they find something small like coins. You have a good attitude and make it look like fun! And then you even were talking about having a good attitude at the end. That's awesome

though I had some problem with sea water It also ru-vid.comUgkxa-FNYUOM93a388gi9a4brtSCEVmrHgJH land for finding any things very easily. (thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn

Looks like a blacksmiths shop was right near that creek. The piece of the clamp, the hammer, and that iron ingot (what you're calling charcoal) would tell me that a blacksmith was set up right there.

I would like to say that worldly christianity (what has developed after the apostles were killed off) is NOT true Christianity. The Church that Christ organized in 30 AD ceased to exist before 100 AD. It does exist today since 1830. It is called the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jesus Christ personally restored His church in that year. I am certain you and Nugget Noggin will not agree with me. But you know now.

Love the old Horse shoe. Real nice old looking one. In Ireland we hang them on the door, making sure they are turned up wards to collect all the luck and riches. Just found one me self some days ago. Was a cossack horse shoe. Well that is what they call them here. But it is from a small russian soldier pony. Will clean it up and slap it on my door soon :)

Abby just might be the coolest young lady in the world, lol.....a real treasure. Not many amazing girls like this anymore. Most girls would rather be home watching MTV garbage, the Kartrashians or stirring up smartphone drama. Great to see we do have a few great young Americans still around these days, lol. Also, you are 100% correct about keeping a positive mind/outlook. Not only with relic hunting, but life in general. It is the absolute key to success and happiness! That "piece of charcoal" is Pig Iron.... Iron ingots used to forge whatever they were going to forge at the time. It's also a Johnny Cash song.

What you are calling a horse shoe half is actually a part of a two part oxen shoe. They were made in two parts to fit the unique shape of their hoofs.

I agree completely. As soon as he said "half horseshoe" I thought of that. I worked at a living history museum and saw oxen shod many times.

James Dalton In all fairness, the camera did not show a real good close up and I should have asked some questions about it as there are many cases of people finding horseshoes that have broken in half and that may have been the case here. I may have jumped to a conclusion that I should not have without knowing a bit more about the piece.

These "horseshoe halves" are for an ox's cloven hooves. If you found a "broken" horseshoe, there is probably remains of a dead horse nearby with evidence of a busted-up leg. I've seen them bent plenty of times, but never broken.

Nugget the soil is passing to quickly over your dredge, you need to slow that dirt down and give your gold time to drop, especially if the pieces are so small. Love your videos!!

If you could keep your suction on the crevices for a bit longer after the dirt and soot are gone, you will improve your results. I'm sure that you know that gold takes centuries to find it's way down into the crevices and cracks, it takes a bit of work to get it out, be patient and the gold will show. Great video. Reminds me of me and my friends 40 years ago. Enjoy. Oh, those aren't broken horse shoes, they are oxen shoes. The tiny horse shoe is the right size for a donkey.

The rounded shoes are for horses. The ones with real straight sides and little longer are for mules. Seen several broken mule shoes in your pile. Enjoyed this video and the note at the end about attitude was dead on!!!

The point is the unknown as in what you might find, he is after gold and other treasures after all. Most all that stuff are relics of the past when everyone got around via Horses, weren't any roads as we know them, just cleared right of ways thru the country, paved roads did not show up until the automobile was invented. I think It' would be great fun, wished I'd lived in such an area and had the equipment and means to do the stuff these young people are doing, Really enjoy your videos Nugget and don't let that Abby get away. She's not afraid of a little work, and not hard on the eyes either, lol. Keep up the good work and don't worry about the haters and doubters.

I noticed while you were dredging you were not getting into the cracks in the bedrock. That is where the gold would be. You could use some tool to scrape out the cracks you might find more gold. I am glad you had fun!

Be careful under those overhanging trees where the soil has been eroded back under their root systems. They could fall without warning and pin someone under water. 8:42 in the video. Keep up the exploring!!!
