As you were mentioning the "side snare" and in another video you were asking what snare the drummer is using. I've seen them on their recent european tour and at least live they use a drum pad

BMTH and WSS are from the same city (Sheffield). WSS recording studio is directly across from BMTH's (Drop dead clothing) wearhouse/bar/vegan resturant.

IIRC, they hired the same choir that sang with BMTH at the Royal Albert Hall, Choir Noir, to sing the gang vocals in this album (for example the "You can do everything you wanna fucking do" in this song), that's probably why they sound so similar.

You know what you could do that I think would be a cool idea. Whatever songs you weren’t really a fan of the drums maybe if you have the time re write the drums for that song or a specific section of the song? I dunno, I think it would be awesome to see how you’d change some of the drum tracks

They used to have beef with BMTH (both being from Sheffield) but the Sleeps guys basically realized it was over nothing and apologized. So Oli helped them out with some tracks off of their last album (You Are We) and guested on their song Silence Speaks. Which is, unsurprisingly, their biggest song to date. And they've pretty well been good since. When BMTH toured NA last, they albeit told their label that WSS was going to be there. So, yeah. Steel City, represented!

I honestly haven't listened to that much WSS but I assumed it was because, like a lot of other bands, they're going in a more poppy direction
