This new song is insane, Matt, congrats & praise from France (btw you"re listed on the Playlist page of my website for your previous work). Cheers to you all three !
I’m always impressed by the quality of your reaction, particularly when it’s not about metal rock 😉, please try to have a look at the last Dirty Loops and Cory Wong’s production, this is definitely something you’re going to like very much 😎
This is actually really cool because it means they’re helping out other areas of the art community by hiring someone to choreograph the song and people to perform the dance. You love to see crossover like this.
I dont remember if it was this song or the other recent single drop they had but Tosin's S/O did the choreography for it. tbh im here for it. Ive never seen someone put the absolute raw power and energy that comes from AAL into dance form but this 1000% hits the nail on the head.
That was my reaction too. Just like stuck in this brain coma trying to comprehend what I was hearing. Usually with their stuff I can make out the patterns after a few listens but this one isn’t sinking in yet and I’ve gone through like 30 times. The last 30 seconds is rediculous .
I just wanted to say this is the best reaction to this song I've seen on RU-vid. Your reaction is so genuine and really nails exactly how I felt while listening to this song. Monomyth by Animals as Leaders literally made me cry, it's a masterpiece. Big fan of your reaction man, will definitely be checking out the rest of your channel!
Yeah in the studio they're all super-casually like, Matt: "Meh I could just do this face-melting lick after the innovative transition." Tosin: "Meh, just 'another day, another avant garde masterpiece.'"
Greeting Sir! Today, I would LOVE to suggest a brand new song entitled "Here Comes The Storm", from the French Canadian Black Metal band named "Obscurcis Romancia". Thanks a lot and have a nice day!!!
The intro riff is 9/4 I think but he’s playing 16th note triplets on the crash the first half and then comes back in with quarter notes for the second bit which makes it seem like it slows down.
@@bwestby1 appreciate it so confusing the way they dance around the meter. Sounds like he also goes from the quarter notes to half notes after which totally changes the feel. Just mind boggling
It's in 6/8. When the whole band kicks in at the beginning they play it as 6/8 with the snare landing on beat 4 of the six. If you continue feeling it with that pulse the song stays there the entire time. The end also illustrates this as Matt keeps his snare going on that beat 4 of 6. Any pulses that are modulated to, are merely an illusion to the 6 that is happening
Not sure if you are sharing, but what is the story with the drums? Why are you selling them? Great reaction - definitely a sick song they dropped after 5 years.
@@BryanForceDrums haha - right over my head - fuck I must be more tired than I thought. Seriously though - not sure where to start in learning a song like this and to count out the time signature.
Somebody said it's 9/4 all I can figure by my best count after he made me rethink is 7/3 (2e3e/3e2e/2e3e) but idfk I'ma scrub who thinks he can djent (doubting that more every day lol)
