Metal Embossing Basics: Start with the end in mind

In this video I explain how I plan my metal embossing and pewter projects, starting with the end in mind.
I start by measuring out my frame/book/canvas, creating a cardboard template that fits it, and then use this to cut my metal about 1cm larger all around before I start embossing my metal.
After completing my metal embossing, I will stick the metal onto the cardboard template before mounting it onto my canvas/book or into the frame, as this ensures that the metal doesn't scratch or bend, and ensures a more professional finished product.
