After 5 years, i have completely redone the challenge with 150% game speed setting a new high for myself, enjoy. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z4L8pqCGPkQ.html
Yes, cuz he is auto blocking before attack hits. In easy difficulty you have a blocking help. Also lot of the attacks hit him but he didn't take dmg. Maybe using invincibility, but nice mechanics though.
Makes me very sad that some people haven’t fought Sundowner and not knocked out all his shields so that the vocals for Red Sun kick in, that’s my favorite song second only to It Has To Be This Way
@@tabkg5802 really? I got into this game about a week ago and just tonight got the ‘truly human’ achievement. phase 1 was hell for me personally and 2 went down too fast to be a threat to the run(might just be my own problems with an old drift controller screwing up my shields cuts though)
I love that the boss music builds up depending on the boss phase; only a couple of instruments at first then the rest before the vocal drops. For me, a tiny addition but it makes the fight more fun and badass.
Fun fact, if the sundowner fight was too long for you and you want to get through the boss quicker on revengeance, just activate ripper mode and have a fully leveled up sword, then parry and counter his dashing attack where he crosses his scissors over his head whilst you are in the air. Instantly kills him
I like how they change metal gear ray's behavior with higher difficulties. On normal it just stands there and let you chop at it's feet while on hard it jumps around alot more and use attacks more often. On even higher difficulties it just never stops attacking or moving, so much so that you literally have to parry him to do any real damage.
It’s also just a fun fight, one of my favorite bosses, even though all bosses are my favorite I rank sundowner higher, I rank him below Sam and Armstrong.
watching this remind me that it take me some research and test to notice that "never" ever in revengeance use the custom body orange color against "armstrong" (dont remember the name of the body but its the one where u take more damage but expend more energy and do more damage), the reason its armstrong attack at 42:39, with this body type as ur energy goes out faster it also gives u less time in blade mode to cut things so u dont have enough time to cut everything (event if aiming perfect and faster) so u will always get hit by its 3rd or 4th pilar, its was "terrible" mistake the devs did to this game about this body
@@Bull1the1Great nope, infinite wig will not work, its a side effect of the custom body, ur do + dmg, receive +dmg, expend more energy and "less time in blade mode", i already tried the wig
SO GLAD FINALLY someboday recognizes *HAMMERHEAD as a boss* !!! (I mean, he has a life bar the same as Bladewolf) and also his theme IS SO KICKASSSSSS especially the first part of the falling bridge (the only reason people dont consider it a boss/sub boss is because it doesnt "talk")
Hammerhead is not a boss. Literally have to lock on, press Y while in midair, and bring it down easy as that. It seems like a pain, but later you realize it can go down as easy as a Gecko or Mastiff.
@@kerosenos8219 I probably should've tried it when I noticed it wasn't an unblockable attack bc I literally be parrying everything else in the game, have Raiden sometimes panic-guard for no reason other than to meet with a parry
Playing through Revengeance fully for the first time myself, and man I can't figure out how to no-hit Monsoon. I can't get the parries down, and always end up missing a few. It's rough AF. Watching stuff like this in hopes of picking up some new tactics!
@@AParticularlyConcernedCitizen I mean, I had the click speed to do it, which is why I’m always confused on the monsoon difficulty comments lmao. Fights very easy if you just click fast enough
@@thegodofallakira6349 I mean, it was the first fight I made it through with little to no damage on my very first playthrough. The point is that it's hard to fully no damage it because it's very easy to miss a hit or two.
@@AParticularlyConcernedCitizen no I mean, I literally didn’t get hit. My first play through was on hard and I legit had more trouble with sundowner because of the blade mode controls being awkward with mouse then monsoon lmao
@Andy Acosta I always wanted to know where did sam learned all his skills or where did sam got his sword and armor,I was hoping that konami will make another dlc and just like you said bro,it would be his origin story, but no,why not stuck with that shitty zombie-like game which no one asked for, thanks again konami for ruined dreams
i love this game, it has wonderful soundtracks all bosses have a wonderful soundtrack for me this is the best metal gear ever it is platinum game 10/10
You know i saw other gameplay of Revengence mode Armstrong from Sam's campaign and i was like man they got like the best outcome for that fight. I wondered how the hell do you deal with armstrong when he does that flaming lariat punch thing he does where he can bounce of the the walls and blindside you if you aren't careful. Loved the video :D
I remember having endless headaches (to the point S ranking him and that mission caused me to drop the game for a while) with him when he would throw his RP grenades, and you could do nothing except parry for 30+ Seconds OR he'd throw it then instantly teleport behind you and hit you before you could even react.
@@HUB594 Imagine liking a game that is literally just trying to be Devil May Cry but with a shitty gimmick and only is liked because Bayonetta is attractive
38:57 a partir de aqui, me parece brutal como le haces todo ese daño a Armstrong y el a ti no te pueda ni tocar yo morí muchas veces cuando lo enfrente por primera vez jajaja
When fighting Armstrong cqc, how do you activate the cutscene? I've gotten him down to 98.7 and when I get hit, I still just die on revengance difficulty
Am i the only one who thinks that every boss Raiden fights, fought him with respect because of who he was and his overall reputation, they were probably privileged just to be able to dual him even if they died
Yo, fellow PC player here. How do you get better at aiming Blade Mode? I always tried cutting the debris Armstrong threw in the beginning because I didn't want to cheese it and dodge them, but eventually I gave up because my aiming skills weren't good enough to cut everything before my FC meter ran out.
Raiden really struggles with pulling apart sundowners shield and then challenges the penultimate final boss to a sword fight with one of its own fucking limbs Bruh
The OST and videos like these are making me crave this game, but I do not have a gaming PC, and I'm not sure if spending 30+ bucks for the game + the DLC armors on Xbox One is worth it honestly. What do you guys think?
I love in the first fight with the metal gear the Russian dude( I don’t remember names one bit) is just delighted that raiden cuts the metal gear in half.
