The tutorial of the game did a very poor job of teaching me how to parry, so I went through most of the game without even knowing what parrying was. When I got to Sam, I got my ass beat because ya know, very parry heavy fight. As time went on, I eventually learned how to parry through Sam, so I saw him as kind of a teacher of sorts and felt even worse when I had to kill him.
How in the world did you get past Monsoon without parrying? For most people Monsoon is the level that forces them into parrying (that is if Blade Wolf didn't do that).
I was wondering why this was the second track, but then I realized this is actually the second song you hear in the game, during the fight with Sam on the train, although there's no lyrics during that.
(quote from Max0r) The best thing about this fight is that There's no minions No sheilds No helicopters No Monsoon talking about... f***king Among Us or something It's just you The sun And the _soil_
Shane Leone And, maybe the music has a stimulus on his adrenaline, pumping it out to allow him to fight seemingly without a stamina limit? Not very likely, but a plausible idea, indeed.
The thing is, Sam is worthy of all of our respects, hardly anything is actually cyborg, he just trained to be that level, there is something honourable about beating him, no more extra bullshit, no more cheating! Man-to-man, sword to sword, who is the most worthy to fight Armstrong?
This fight is why I bought the game, there are no surprises and it's simply a test of skill. I refused to use nanopaste during the fight just because it would give me the upper hand.
Isaiah ivery Oh definitely. He may not be the most challenging boss but his Attack patterns and his moves accompanied with this music makes it the most fun boss battle.
Memories broken The truth goes unspoken I’ve even forgotten my name I don’t know the season Or what is the reason I’m standing here holding my blade A desolate place Without any trace It’s only the cold wind I feel It’s me that I spite As I stand up and fight The only thing I know for real There will be blood-shed The man in the mirror nods his head The only one left Will ride upon the dragon’s back Because the mountains don’t give back what they take Oh no There will be blood-shed It’s the only thing I’ve ever known Losing my identity Wondering have I gone insane To find the truth in front of me I must climb this mountain range Looking downward from this deadly height And never realizing why I fight
CherryZone it's neither called Masamune or Muramasa it's called "Murasama" it's a reference because they always spelled wrong, took two years to answer but meh
+Theshadow Shago he faught but in the end it was not enough he will alwais be renembered and will alwais live in our hearts but now its simply time for him to rest in peace :(
My legs are broken The kneecaps are stolen I’m forever bound to a chair I don’t how to hike or what it is to bike I’m sitting here holding my brakes My ass stays in place (place) With a big trace (trace) It’s only my ass i feel Its my legs that i spite As i sit and sit The only thing i know for real There will be Broken (Broken) Bones (Bones) The man in the Mirror sobs instead The only one (one) Left (left) Will crawl up the chair he has Because the ankles don't grow back when they break Oh, no there will be Broken (Broken) Bones (Bones) It's the only thing I've ever known Then the music happens Losing my mobility, Wondering “will I walk again?” To traverse the path in front of me, I must use this wheelchair. Looking downward from this moving seat never realizing i have to go up stairs
For me, Monsoon was harder than Sam. Sam wasn't too tough for me. Which is odd because I see some people talking as if he's very challenging. It's a very parry heavy fight. If you can parry well, you may not have much trouble. If you suck at parrying... well that probably explains the guy who said this fight took him 2 days to beat.
Yes, this soundtrack is admittedly odd for a Metal Gear spin-off, but damn does it fit this game so incredibly well. Can't imagine these fights being fought against any other background music.
Lyrics: Memories broken, the truth goes unspoken, I've even forgotten my name! I don't know the season; oh, what is the reason I'm standing here holding this blade? A desolate place without any trace- It's the only cold wind I feel. It's me that I spite as I stand up and fight- The only thing I know for real. There will be bloodshed. The man in the mirror nods his head. The only one left Will ride upon the dragon's back Because the mountains don't give back what they take. Oh no. There will be bloodshed. It's the only thing I've ever known! Losing my identity, wondering have I gone insane. To find the truth in front of me, I must climb this mountain range. Looking downward from this deadly height, Never realising why I fight!

I put this music on my headphones while I walked to the bathroom to piss, found a cockroach, took off my crocks, and "THERE WILL BE BLOOD - SHED..." played at that moment. Never felt so badass. Then after being doubtful on what to do with the body, the song ended and i immediately got fearful and recoiled from the dead cockroach. Moral of the story: find a perfect loop of the song
You know you’re the best boss when you’re the only one that doesn’t rely on throwing everything they can find at you. (Excluding Armstrong because of the gekkos in the first fight)
Satisfying Boss battle, music was amazing. This is the kinda boss fight I like, when you have two fighters who match up well in the field and can match each other blade to blade. Makes every hit matter and makes everything more meaningful when you finally beat em.
i found that the best way to take him out was to attack, jump back, attack, jump back, and just fucking destroy him if need be, but always have a health pack on you at all times
Cuando escucho cualquiera de estas canciones mientras entreno me siento como si recibiera una dosis extra de energía o adrenalina jaja es muy buena la banda Sonora de este juego
I wish that they made it so that when the music would kick in normally for the other music sets, this one would have its lyrics come in. That would be so amazing
this song gets better every time i hear it... like dam at first i thought this was mid compared to rules of nature or standing here but it grows on me hard every time i hear it, especially figuring out that the lyrics are lore like the others.
Eric Torch Monsoon is only hard if you don't know how to parry. And it makes sense that sam would be weak because he barely has any cyborg enhancements.
Butter Butt It makes more sense for sam to be stronger because speaking from past events he was very formidable as he was. Raiden would stand no chance the second time if he did get an upgrade.
The firey and roaring theme of the dragon of brazil, the man who fought himself and lost. Jetstream sam; the only time it's ever a bad idea to disarm your opponent

First time playing this game I was loving it- and then Jetstream Sam with his explosion boosted jump and screaming guitar solo- Learning what happens when you bring a tool to a Sword fight- Pure Bliss.
