Whats really funny is when you have a female staff member saying that to Venom... Boss.... Harder! Or... It's an honor to be held in your iron embrace Boss!
Get shot during a mission? Back at the ACC Snake will have a blood pack running into him. Got a few critical injuries? Snake will instead have an IV drip.
I hear it's amazing when the famous White Mamba from Central Africa with Sahelanthropus completes his character arc on the Kingdom of Flies island. I need Mission - 51!
@@CodyBi yeah I believe their accent might be weird, but he’s saying they do speak in Russian, instead of just speaking English in a Russian accent like a lot of other games
I'm Russian as well and it was 50/50 for me. Some characters speak normally, while others have a really noticeable English accent or whatever, it just sounds cringey
What about the "demon points" system? It's where the more enemies you kill the larger the "horn" on snake's head gets, until eventually you're perpetually covered in blood and leave behind a trail
It's not necessarily about how many people you kill. You get "demon points" based on certain actions. For example, killing wounded enemies, killing your buddies, on purpose or on accident, and various other things.
they will always have small differences, Scars, tattoo's, Eye colour, hair colour, scar depth's. etc. i wish the game offered more facial diversity because at a distance they all look the same
8/9 was somewhat in the original MGS also using the right cardboard box in the truck to go from the entrance to where you fight sniperwolf for the second time.
Months old, but you don't even need "the right box" I've been traveling with the "Idol Paz" box my entire gameplay. Unless it's wet and you need the waterproof one.
The AI in this game is the best I've ever seen. I started to take it for granted until I played through Halo 5 campaign, I quickly realized how ahead of the pack this game is. Just another fantastic thing about this game. Goty.
It's not really that special but it certainly is different from other mainstream games with dumb AI. These guys actually try to find you and stay vigilant after you've disappeared.
@@DantesInferno96 "its really not that special" "certainly is different from other mainstream games with dumb A" definition of special : better, greater, or otherwise different from what is usual .yeah... makes sense its not special at all .
@@dasdsda4779 it isn't special. It's just different. The AI does the bare minimum and it's possible to cheese it very easily. We just have games with dumb AI in the mainstream because of console limitations. The CPU can't handle it.
№52 - If you come back to the game after a long period of specifically to Mother Base a cutscene will be triggered with DD jumping inside the helo while Ocelot will tell you to come more frequently to the base so other soldiers will not forget about you and DD needs attention.
Initially, I thought guard dogs were cut because they wanted to avoid dog vs dog action. DD KILLS WILD DOGS. OK I think they will patch guard dogs in future, like... a certain sniper returning. And no, I am 200 hours in, frequently used DD, but never had a situation where a wild dog was biting me long enough for DD to take action.
maalick umarsherif At times she was interesting but overall I wouldn't really think of her especially compared to mgs characters overall, her backstory was interesting hunting you down and what not but once she became your companion a lot of her character was just parts of the overall story kinda like how dr madnar is cool but people only remember him because he's in mgx 1 and 2
@101392320513522986355 Kaz and Huey definitely but those are really the only characters interesting or even developed enough like Ocelot was just there for the ride while Kaz was your motivation. Huey was interesting enough but after you beat the story none of the characters bring you back though
Every person does nobody realize the reason big boss barley talks is because he was in a coma for 9 years not too mention all the interesting side characters you can play as and think about how those people are and I think the game is overall we’ll built yeah the ending was bad but it was a great game
Brent Bradford ok true and yes you can kinda imagine the side characters your soldiers and like how there all different but snake really didn’t go through recovery he was awake for a day or so before the entire hospital was attacked
I would have added, if you snipe enemies without a silencer, instead of getting into normal alert mode, they will hide and use mortairs since they don't know your exact position, just the direction were you are firing from.
Does anyone else notice the ending where "quiet" catches on fire, well I don't think that's quiet because solid snake, big boss, and the pilot dude look almost identical and the fact that it is the same level with just a couple more cut scenes so I think quiets still actually alive
'We love it when a game pays attention to the little details' Yes MGS V did this, so much attention to that so little that they completely forgot a very large part being half the story.
Actually enemies will not smell you if you have flies buzzing around you. They also won't hear your music playing if you decide to use the I-Droid Speakers. I tested these 2 while playing MGSV on my PS3 using Stealth Camo and moving near or even directly behind enemies. You also could use any type of C-Box. But in order to use the travel points (after getting the Invoices), the Outpost your at CAN NOT be in any kind of alert (caution, evasion or combat).
did anyone else notice that when arriving to the 1st Deck Medical Platform while in the chopper along with Quiet, if you look at her cell you can see that she's already in there even though she's still in the chopper with you, and you can also see her still in her cell when leaving the Medical Platform via chopper. all this attention to detail but they forgot to remove her from her cell during arrivals and departures from the medical platform, c'mon Kojima
+Zaqq Two months late, but the point is that YOU the player are Big Boss. For example, if you go into an FOB infiltration mission as a staff member and the staff member dies, you can hear Ocelot saying in the after mission report, "A staff member just died Boss, be more careful next time."
delivery to other mail points on the map with the "right type of box"? dude u can use any box. this is wat i hate about ign they dont do a lot of research into games....
When trying to capture a wandering motherbase soldier, if you hide in a cardboard box, he will investigate it and salute you saying "Boss, you have returned" or something like that and you will be able to fulton him right away.
For the Lord of the Flies one of the boys is also named Ralph. He gets crushed by some pipes, maybe in reference to piggy getting crushed by the bolder
to be honest here, just finished 100% of the game and I didn't know some of this things, like the quiet music stead your aim, and the paz music attracting wondering soldiers, and 10 other things, lol. cool stuff
If you get injured during a mission there'll be a blood IV drip attached to boss' arm. If you stay away from motherbase too long, a sugar water IV drip is attached to boss in heli.
I have one. Guns that shoot different ammo types actually leave different sized bullet holes. For example: the 50.cal sniper in the game will leave a small crater in a shot wall as opposed to the little dot created from a 9mm handgun.
If anyone here is trying to find the song playing in the beginning: A Phantom Pain. (Note the "a", not "the"). I heard this song first in this video and it's on my playlist ever since :)
+5 Volt Yes, we all are, but it wouldn't make sense. After all, if you've played Mission 46: The Man Who Sold The World, you'll know that it would mess with canon and continuity if you had Gray Fox on your team, as well as rescuing Naomi.
19. Isn't that what he supposed to do other than lurking the guards? Why not including Quiet's ability to snipe baddies as another mindblowing little detail? 21. That's already in a lot of open world or sandbox games that don't want you crash on a tree. 31. It's a standard feature in most military shooters that want a little bit of authenticity.
+倪传历(Allen The Spellwaver)Cool, most people didn't know that, you'd be surprised at things that people overlook. Why nitpick? Though yeah 19 and 20 were a bit of stretches.
The room, you meet with Paz is nonexisting! Just look at the base! The door leads you to the outside! Conclusion? Dialog with Paz is all in Snake's head - she's dead.
Half of these are just classic trademark for MGS. Not just for MGS 5. The start of the game and the first 10-15 missions are really awesone, but after that it's abundantly clear that the game is unfinished...
***** I'm comparing the pacing from the first 15 episodes to the 35 last episodes. Half of part 2 is just repeating previous missions on hard. Obviously they just used as fillers. Comparing it to the rest of the series, it's abundantly clear that it's not a finished game. Do you like the story? That's awesome, like it as much as you want, but don't patronize me or my views.
Let's be honest. This game doesn't deserve 10/10, since they story wasn't that great and the missions were repetitive, and they cut off a chapter from the main game.
Actually Chapter 3 comes after that Nuke Disarmament cutscene, we still don't know if there's gonna be anything else though, the card is there but nothing reveals new content
and you didn't mention the little diamond in the DD coat of arms after mission 43 "I won't scatter your sorrows to the heartless sea. Plant your roots in me. I will always be with you. I won't see you end as ashes. You're all diamonds." just after you get over having to kill your own men... you notice it...
I wish they had put that much thought into the actual story. The gameplay was fun but the story had some serious problems. Like the fact that some random medic on the hospital is skilled and charasmatic enough to have people belived he is the one and only legendary soldier
+bigbk So? It's still a nice list of cool things in the game, and some of the things they mentioned were new to me, like the cassettes you can play to gain various benefits from their effects, like the humming or the Paz songl
Did you guys know if you did the running punch with the lethal rocket arm instead of stunning the enemy it will kill them because of an explosion on impact. And if you shoot the pig's head during the Eli fight it will squeal.
why would you asked that? I completed all and i normally even go for 100% playthrough. Got Big boss face camo for MSG4 and S all MGS5 missions with only few sub ops left. the predecessors' stories never felt incomplete to me. care to explain?
+Cay V Did you not pay attention to any of the conflict between Kojima and Konami during this game's development? Or are you just sweeping that under the rug for the convenience of your argument? Very likely that this game was rushed out before Kojima could put everything he wanted into it. Konami was super not flexible with their budget and Kojima spent a projected 80 million on what the game is now. Honestly the story is only incomplete if you take the Eli stuff into account but everyone pretty much knows where that all ends up anyway. Like who cares. Gameplay wise it's very far and away the best Metal Gear Solid game, and one of the best action/stealth games of all time.
***** Imo the game ended when you killed Skull Face, but the ending was just a kind of "Oh hey by the way." I think you're letting the ending ruse effect your opinion on the story WAY too much
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Hideo Kojima made nearly all of the cutscenes seamless long shots. The camera will just move around without any cuts, portraying a long, continuous world. This a reference to the Alfred Hitchcock film, Rope, in which Hitchcock tried to use as few cuts as possible between scenes
different playable characters have different voices!!! VERY TINY MIND BLOWN!!!!.....fail. IGN thinks we are stupid gamers with no intelligence its insulting
I only headshot guards then extract them, yet somehow, with absolutely no evidence, the enemies realized that I was big on headshots and started wearing helmets. That annoys me greatly. Also, after a transmission ends if you tranq a guard, the person on the other end magically knows that he's knocked out, despite the conversation being over. On a positive note: Sometimes, guards won't really search for you, then they'll radio back that they couldn't find you. You could argue that it's bad programming, but I assume it's just guards being lazy. "Oh yeah, I looked for the intruder, couldn't find anybody... oh well."
