So true... if you cry for a character you care about when they die in a video game, it becomes much more than a video game. It becomes a part of your Heart. It shows you care. That you love. (Fallout 4) I will never forget you, Shaun. I will never forget you, Nora. I will carry your memories into Oblivion with me.
This is a really good song but nothing will be more fitting than Way To Fall at the end of MGS3. It’s almost as if the band wrote that song specifically for The Boss and Snake. The Boss is speaking to Snake in that song. Again, sorry but nothing will ever beat Way To Fall.
My thesis in economics of crime has a Spanish translation of this song, written as a poem. If I ever die, I want this song at my funeral too. Her voice is just too beautiful...
This was amazing. Although she missed one line, saying "Waiting for a storm to rise as a perfect memory" when it's "All the ashes of men remain as a perfect memory"
Such an incredibly beautiful voice!!!.. my god 😢😍❤ Even though she missed some of the lyrics, that was still so amazing. One of my all time favorites songs in the MGS series.
Portable Ops isn't a special game, but this song helps. I think it and Peace Walker are both decent enough entries in the MGS series, and they both have very memorable songs.
I like this song. This song is epic dramatic, emotional and patriotic song for imagine characters from all video game publishers(Nintendo,Sony,3rd party(others) and Microsoft) will stand on final battle in crossover fighting game like Super Smash Bros and Gaming All Stars with strong feeling and me like to standing in final battle with veteran looks(serious faced fighter)
Only thing that bothers me is that Portable Ops has been pretty much cast out of the story. It's not even in the timeline they show at the end of Phantom Pain.
Portable Ops doesn't even count anymore. If you finish MGS V with the true ending (I haven't finished it yet, a friend of mine spoiled the real ending for me so I know all about it). the timeline completely skips over Portable Ops events. It's not even a footnote. It mentions the Peacewalker incident, Snake Eater incident,Outer Heaven,Zanzibar Land,Shadow Moses,Big Shell,Outer Haven right to where Big Boss dies.
+CF-105 Games Didn't a comment in Peace Walker call out MPO? I think Kojima has gone on record as saying that whilst it isn't vital to the main storyline, it is part of the extended canon.
Goosebumps...very impressive vocal performance! The MGS-Series is a masterpiece and combined with the brilliant and emotional music in it, I am not ashamed to say that no other video game made me cry more often. Domo Arigatou gozaimasu Kojima-Dono!
Through the night to the day When everything is gone Carry the soul away from the dry lands In the sun we see, fighting over lines All our dreams and wishes We send home for safekeeping Fighting for what's right Calling to the night To dream again in the light Waiting for a storm to rise Feel the isolation fleeting Calling to the night to be or not to be fighting here Leaving without you, leaving my soul behind Calling to the night Colors of Kodachrome fade with time Calling to the night For us, for every single life Waiting for a storm to rise As a perfect memory Calling to the night In the heart will remain As a silhouette of time Hear the ringing echoes In the splitting horizon Calling to the night
There's actually someone who works for the U.S. Navy SEALs who looks like a spitting image of Solid Snake. Bandana, black sunglasses, a big beard. jungle camouflage. I watched some footage somewhere on RU-vid of him and his partner jumping out from a helicopter with no helmets on their heads a long while back. He looked war-worn, like he spends everyday of his life crawling through jungles, and being one with nature. To meet him in person would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I'm still trying to find that bit of footage, was awesome to watch. Navy SEALs really do give it their all throughout their military careers. And obviously find things very difficult to come to terms with when returning to normal everyday living due to having PTSD, and not being expected to be just a mindless killing machine.
2:45 How come the lyrics were changed at this part? It's supposed to be "All the ashes of men remain, as a perfect memory". Kind of ruins what would otherwise be a good cover.
