Metal Gear Solid is my absolute favorite video game franchise of all time and im definitely getting this, it is a great way for modern audiences who haven't played metal gear a chance to experience this legendary series and see why its the renowned games that they are.
Konami, do the right thing. The Switch should be able to play these games at 60fps. Even the PS Vita played these games at 60fps. You aren't going to look like a fool and let that happen, are you?
Arcade, Contra, Castlevania, Turtles, and now MGS. These collections are such love-letters to the fans of what Konami was darn good at. I feel so very grateful to see all of these again. 🙏
@@ethanhernandez9889 Twin Snakes would probably not happen. If it did, it would be exclusive to the Switch due to Nintendo being involved with that game's developement (plus, it would need a lot of work to redo Psycho Mantis' lines to have him talk about Switch games, like how I believe this game would have to rework the port of MGS1 so Psycho Mantis can read the hard drive, unless Konami is deciding to cut that segment entirely).
Seeing MGS come back like this is amazing! I own multiple copies of each game at this point but im excited for it to be released on portable/Switch. Although I wish Twin Snakes was here, maybe vol. 2 i guess.
This time I won't commit same mistake of buying the collection on Playstation, Sony been holding it hostage on PS3 for decades due to lack of backwards compatibility, they don't even acknowledge I own the games, unlike Xbox that lets me play my Xbox 360 games.
Kobi Blade there's much more to it than that. The PS3 was absolutely painful for game developers to work on, and as a result porting those games to new platforms can be difficult. But MGS4 specifically is one of the most difficult of them all since it was designed almost entirely around the PS3. But there's hope, because they had a working Xbox 360 port that they never released due to requiring 7 discs. If they still have it lying around somewhere, it'd likely be way easier to remaster/port the 360 version rather than dealing with the nightmare that is the PS3. BTW I'm an Xbox guy too lol always have been, your gripes with Sony are valid
@taxjax or they could just make it switch exclusive content and the rest of vol 2 can be cross platform. To be honest though I don't think Nintendo would have a problem with them releasing on other platforms, they have a good relationship with Konami.
Emulation exist, you know. They released the game on so much platform, it's absurd how many emulation software you can use to play the exact same game.
@@rigierish3807 emulation is not as good as a optimized game. I played portable ops on PSP emulator and it runs like garbage despite my PC being way stronger than a PSP. So yeah, real mgs3 on pc is awesome.
For real! Why is that the “one” that no collection ever has? It is like the missing song from all the “Complete Star Wars soundtracks”… but not a single one has “Jabba’s Sail Barge song” when their cruising along to the Sarlacc Pit.
Bring MGS4 to PS5 & Xbox! But don't just stop there, I think if you add MGSV in Volume 2 as well, then make sure to give the game a next-gen update. I know this can be done, and people want this. MGS4 on modern consoles and MGSV with next-gen upgrades. Best thing Konami should and can do for their fans.
MGS is a game full of story, lore and character build ups. as you play you start to feel as if you are apart of something way bigger then anything before. Growing up in the 90's I would ALWAYS watch my dad play MGS1 then when the PS2 came out I started to play MGS2 on the PS2 with many other games to where I would try to do speedruns and find different ways to beat the bosses. I am looking forward to see MGS3 being remade and I hope its done BETTER then another game company that has flopped and only remake said games for money
I still have my physical copies of these games on the PS1 and 2. I think I'll have a MGS marathon sometime soon. MGS 3 had their subsistence version with unlocked camera that came with MG1 and MG2 on a second disc.

They should remake the 1-3, especially the 1st game that came out for PS. Doing so, it will give people a taste of playing a fantastic game with better quality, similar to what Residen Evil is doing. Doing so will give you creativity in the next game of the year.
If this is possible, then I have all the hope on having MGS4 on the second vol. away from the PS3. Make this happen or everyone will be dissapointed :D
What I need confirmation on is Snake Vs. Monkey. You add the song to the soundtrack but haven’t had it in the game since Subsistence was first released
As long as these beautiful gems have a solid performance that's all I care about really. I want good frame rates and good overall experience and gameplay performance. Thanks for bringing these games to the switch !!! God bless Konami for this
Burak Güven is the biggest fan of this series in Türkiye. Unfortunately, he passed away due to a brain tumor, and his last wish from his wife was to write “Solid Snake” on his gravestone. You should honor him, Konami.

Don't see how it having Metal Gear means it has nothing. Besides, playing the Metal Gears again on the go could be really fun especially the VR missions in 1 and 2. It's great to see the series isn't dead and stuck on older gen.
Hello Konami, I don't know if you heard it already but as a MGS fan I would like to announce you there was a big fan of MGS that he even wrote Snake's name on his tombstone. no ps4/xbox one versions yet there's a switch version? seriously? cmon konami... you had one job and before i get a bunch of replies like "yOu cAn gEt a ps5 nOw!!!" i know but that's not the point, this is literally just a collection of ports, if switch can do it there's no reason we can't get last gen versions like a dragon gaiden and infinite wealth are getting ps4 versions and those are BRAND NEW GAMES. no excuse for this

Finally solid snake and the others are making his way to Steam, now I can forget having and deleting the non official emulation versions of the PS1 and PS2 versions of Metal Gear Solid 1, 2 sons of liberty and 3 Snake Eater.

I can't see why this couldn't be released on Xbox One and PS4, I mean this games has more than 20 years since release, and is comming for Switch too. Too bad for that, but still an interesting collection

Not gonna happen. The source code is lost to time and without that you end up with the silent hill hd collection from ps/360, which was an absolute disaster. Would be great if it could happen, but it won't :(
I find it interesting that the two most important games are the only ones that haven't been remade. Metal Gear = Solid Snake vs Venom Venom fully realizing his entire purpose, and the destiny he was given and accepted Metal Gear 2 = Solid Snake vs Big Boss Big Boss finally being caught and "defeated" by his own inescapable destiny. Two separate games with similar but different themes. Could totally each be AAA releases. Like sitting on a pile of gold lol.

Please, remap the pressure sensitive commands properly! On the HD collection for the PS3 and 360 some pressure sensitive commands were bad, or just plain inexistent. It's impossible to aim with a rifle without shooting, for example. Ironically, the Twin Snakes game for the GameCube is the best game on that regard, they adapted all commands really well.
Could you please a version of Metal Gear Master Collection for Xbox one/PS4? Their last collection is out of stores. They aren't so demand to not have a last gen release. Please, consider this. I wish to play all games on my console 😕

quick question, does that include Metal Gear Solid, the PS1 classic to be specific, also on the GameCube was a remastered version or it. they did something like this before, it was called the Metal Gear Solid HD collection.
It only includes the original MGS from the PSX not MGS: The Twin Snakes from the GameCube. MGS: The Twin Snakes remains a GameCube only exclusive till this day.
My predictions Vol.2 Main ones: Portables Ops - Metal Gear Solid 4 - Peace Walker. And as a bonus: The Twin Snakes - Ghost Babel - Metal Gear Solid Touch Vol.3 Main ones: Metal Gear Rising - Ground Zeroes - The Phantom Pain - As a bonus: Metal Gear Acid 1 and Acid 2 - SurviVe

Dude, Konami is still going to be awful, they're just rereleasing old content. That's not the same as genuinely turning over a new leaf. Wait for them to be consistently awesome, THEN give them your approval.

You supposed to play MGS3 first before 1 and 2? Also I wonder why are they showing off the pixelated ps1 version but also showing some scenes from the gamecube version of mgs1
