This is my fav Nemophila song, heavy but with a real groove to it. Tamu and Haraguchi-san are a water-tight rhythm section ! 🤘😁🤘

Since you've listened to their heavier tracks, I think you should do Life next. It'll definitely show you their versatility in the genre.

They are definitely my new favorite band. There's only a handful of bands in my life. I have liked altogether since day one. I can't say I have a favorite band member because I like all five of them equally well. I have been around for quite a while and my favorite bands of all time has been Aerosmith, AC/DC, ZZTop, and KISS. And I have seen each and every one of those bands in their Heyday in their Prime. If Nemophila keeps doing what they are doing, they can have just as long and successful of a career as any of those bands, I have no doubts about that.

Also a Crüe Cover, Shout at the Devil. Well, it is no wonder they do it better than the original, instrument skills are better and for sure the vocs. No wonder though Vince cannot really sing ( although Mötley is not Crüe without him ). 😁

Nemophila... click... ah, in heaven! Love these ladies! Thank you for reacting to this video. Sorai and Life, Life is a ballad sung to the drummer, Tamu, who just returned to the band from having a baby, so they abit emotional. They also celebrate guitarst Hazuki, Ibenz guitar, birthday. Covers are just a great variety of genres from Pop to Rock to Metal, they always come through. They even just have fun doing a song for the fun of it like Minions:Banana song and Make You Happy which shows a side of Mayu's voice I did not think she had.

These ladies are all so damn good just incredible songs and musicianship, and damn Saki in that sweater is…..impressive. Edit: just hit Sorai, Fighter, Life and Monsters that is the rest of their originals, though they just finished mixing their 1st full album this week. As for covers they are all good even a freaking Nickelback cover. Best of the lot to me though are the Linkin Park, Iron Maiden and AC/DC ones, oh except for the Banana Song cover if you want to see them go hard.

*Nemophile does other styles then thrash metal like the three you seen.* Try their original song called *LIFE.* It was dedicated to their drummer's newborn daughter when she was on maternity leave. Note: The video on their channel is in Japanese but there's a video that has English subtitles. There is also an original song called *Monsters* which is very good. More hard rock/popish then thrash. *THEN JUST FOR FUN* or what I call *"WHAT THE HELL??".* First cover song you should do of theirs is *"THE BANANA SONG - MINIONS SONG".* They actually sound, *I KID YOU NOT,* LIKE THE BEACH BOYS PLAYING HARD POP. It's a short song the band was having some fun.

The more you get into this band the more you will realise Hazuki and Saki are superb on the Axe .Ratei is heavy as, Tamu and Haraguchi are the drive on this and Hazuki and Saki just sensational there twin leads through the entire song stunning and yes Saki puts some Hirajoshi scales in there along with other Japanese scales .There totally different in styles and technique which makes it even better .There are 7 originals your missing Life ,Sorai ,monsters and Fighter + others only played live .Then there is the full album just gone to be mastered. So plenty to do before the cool as F..k covers .

Nemophila never disappoints. Great reaction video! For more originals I recommend: Life, if you want an emotional ballad dedicated to the drummer’s return from maternity leave Monsters, not as heavy as the ones you’ve heard but it still really rocks. Fantastic song with synths All their covers are amazing. My favorite is their Maximum the Hormone cover. Mayu is unreal

Monsters and Life are two originals that sound totally different from their thrashers. Aces High cover is great Iron Maiden tribute. Don’t Say Lazy is a great cover of a Japanese song you’ve never heard that shows a different side of Mayu’s personality.

I know you said you've already listened/reacted to their song Oiran, but they performed it live from NAON YAON this year and it sounds great and is definitely worth a listen (they posted a video of this performance on their youtube). Whether you do a react to it of course is up to you, but i'd still say it's worth checking out one day if even just to listen to it. That aside, thanks for another reaction to Nemophila. Love this band...one of my favorite bands going today. Makes me happy to see more reactions to them, getting them even just a little bit more exposure in the process. These ladies are super talented and work super hard.

if you like exotic sounds, they have a song called "Hypnosis" it's a slower song but with good deep chuggy riffs, and with a far east feel to it. Really good that way.

Probably my favorite Nemophila clip, and I'm totally with you re. the two solos. They actually do a lot with the diminished and middle-eastern scales in several of their songs. Yes, they are new, but clearly one of the bands to watch. Another one which does fascinating stuff with exotic scales while shredding is Hagane. Try "Soul Beats".

I adore this band. I don't relate to the label thrash for them somehow. To me they are not something that fits that, they are heavy but versatile. I guess we have different ideas of thrash. To me, thrash is like the band Moth in Lilac. Check them out? (They're now on hiatus, but have a number of videos on YT.)

Yeah, I agree, definitely not thrash, it's basically just a really aggressive hard rock song.

You've probably picked 3 of their heaviest songs lol. The band is very versatile though. On their live studio sessions the good western covers of AC/DC, Linkin Park and T-Rex are great. They even have a Nickelback cover that made me like a Nickelback song without being embarrassed. Nickelback!!! Talk about never saying never. There also great covers of OG Japanese Metal bands X-Japan, Show-Ya and Loudness. Anyway, one thing unique with the Japanese music scene is its second nature to throw in a metal hook or section in to a pop song. Marty Friedman is one of my all-time favorite musicians and I remember being confused when he said one of the reason for leaving Megadeth was to explore different styles of music and he cited Japanese pop as an example. Always thought of pop as Britney Spears or Taylor Swift but now after being exposed to bands like Band-Maid and Nemophila I get what he meant. It also makes sense why he lives in Japan full time now. Anyway, Nemophila does have a much more diverse sound. In fact the drummer Tamu also plays in Jazz bands on drums and SAXAPHONE as well as she plays guitar, xylophone and piano. Ohh, and she teaches an advanced drum course at a school. They're all a unique group of talent and can pretty much play anything.

So I just commented on your dissension reaction. I knew you would start to really like them. They grow on you. I would suggest Life also for your next reaction. Especially with English translation being up now! Don't cry though lol. Tamu the drummer actually left the band for awhile on maternity leave, they weren't sure what was gonna happen to the band. During an online concert mayu gave a little speech and they played life kind of as a tribute to tamu. You will notice they are all facing her and crying. Really amazing song. Not sure ppl have said it or not but, Nemo is a super group. They are all from different bands and at the top of their game in skill level. SAKI the guitarist on your right hand side is pretty much a national treasure in japan,, she is one the best guitarist, period. HHAZUKI left side guitarist is right there with her as far as skill level and being known. HARAGUCHI SAN bass player also very well known and highly skilled MAYU singer absolutely amazing can sing anything from primal screams to really soft and emotional. Been in several bands also really well known. TAMU super sick drummer. Trained as a jazz drummer, which explains her amazing skill level. Switched over to metal/rock when she absolutely shines. Also very well known. Ther are drum cam videos of her with Nemophila that really shows her skill level , always smiling and looking around never missing a beat. Nemophila is new but they are not. Definitely check out their covers. They are very good and alot of fun, not necessarily to react to, just to really get a feel of who they are. Definitely check out ROLLING QUARTZ too. They're cover of paramores misery business is what really got them on the map. But Blaze was their first big original MV debut. They have several originals, all great songs, and alot of covers, also really great. Such as shape of you, bad romance, misery business etc jayoung has an amazing voice. They are so similar to Nemo just a little different style of music. I say they're sister bands and should definitely collab. Not necessarily for reactions, just 2 bands you should really get to know, just for the love music

Check out LIFE - highly emotional song - the version with the translation is amazing, and the "solo" section builds melodies on top of each other until there are about 5 lead guitar tracks on top of each other (a-la Pink Floyd's "Take it Back"). It's glorious. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oowoBTCaj8U.html

Fighter is a great rock song, Life is beautiful and Sorai is in the Raitei zone. And yeah, do their covers (any, even the Banana Song, guaranteed to make you smile like an idiot) because that is where the character of the band really shines. They have so much fun and it is infectious.

Man, you need to revisit Nemophila. They dropped Revive, Hypnosis, and a couple more songs for their January 22 release of the first complete album Revive. They have shown a lot of diversity and creativity across this album, I honestly believe that in time they will eclipse Babymetal and Band-Maid in popularity. (My favorite Japanese bands btw) If they keep doing what they are doing now, I can see them rising to the top spot of Japanese metal and international fame. Just my opinion of course.
