And just as important, remind ARMY to NOT stoop to that level. That's not purple energy. We don't need to be offensive and vile, because the haters are so out there and obvious now that even non-fans can call it out. If we MUST engage, we should engage politely and with facts. Nothing makes a hater look worse than a well-articulated rebuttal.

Something that makes me really mad about the burger incident, where they rejected Jungkooks food was that he was still a minor. Not only that but since they hadn't blown up at the time he had a very little amount of spending money but still used that money for his crew. He was also alone on that show so he didn't have any one to back him up. It always breaks my heart seeing that clip.

It wasn't JK's own money. He was on the team given more budget spending money for lunch and quick transport to the island where they were filming. This was shown before the live filming. The winning team decided to spend their extra leftover money to buy the losing team the burgers since they knew the losing team members would not have the time or the money for lunch given how little money they were given. JK was just ask to give the food. I too was taken aback by how rude that MC was but hrs of travel and no food can make me cranky tbh, so I could relate a bit. Even knowing how much emphasis on hierarchy in Korean society, it's still surprises me how disrespectful seniors/older people sometimes treat the younger folks on tv shows. Anyway, how can ANYONE turn down JK, he was SO adorable back then 💜
@deyadna
@deyadna 2 года назад
My gut tell me it was prank, but even so it was too far. Because no way in hell they really thought it was a leftover as they still in neat package, but normally as soon as you see the one you pranked look down you would immediately "We are kidding!" "It was a joke!" But this grown man were keep going, what breaks my heart JK keep convinces him it was good, the burger was big and so on. Bruh, even that the nastiest burger you ever got you should still accept it and say thank you!!🤯

To add to Salina's wonderful comment, I was impressed by how Namjoon handled the awkwardness. He, as usual, had obviously stepped in earlier to counsel JK to contact the host and clear the air before broadcast so that ARMY would not worry. At the interview, he smoothed the way for JK to take the high road and move forward with the host. Namjoon says, "we believe in karma" and he lives that belief. BTS never attacks their detractors except in their diss tracks. They deflect all the hate and disrespect like they sing in "Mic Drop": (paraphrase) "we have heard you, we have addressed you, and now we are moving beyond your space forever - good luck". But ARMY notices everything and ARMY never forgets. Poor Namjoon! He keeps one hand on the members and one hand on ARMY, so we'll all behave. Best leader ever!!

The song that was allegedly misogynistic was War of Hormone. It is satire about teenage boys battling their hormones. It isn't misogynistic at all, and a lot of what people wanted to say was misogyny, was because of mistranslation. Also, a lot of it was just people grasping at straws to try and stop BTS from succeeding.

Agreed, it’s not really misogynistic. They just wrote about women and their effect on them due to hormones. Ppl said they objectify women. That’s kinda true, but it was far funnier and way less misogynistic than American rap. It was from the point of view of teenagers.

I don't think BTS even knew their performance was going to be cut initially for the Grammys. They mentioned in a live that they had worked really hard to create a one-shot performance of the song (covid times, so it was prerecorded) despite an elaborate performance that involved moving through a building, up stairs, and onto a roof. The fact it was one shot was supposed to be a surprise for the fans and then the performance got abridged and parts were cut. Sigh. Seriously annoyed to be told, "BTS next after these messages!" for three and a half hours to end up getting barely three minutes of their performance.

when it comes to that performance bts did at the festival in 2016 when rm was injured but they still performed with no cameras rolling, confetti on the ground (which was dangerous to dance on) and bare minimum lighting because the festival wouldn't let them back into the regular lineup, it's a part of army lore at this point. armys who were there were furious at the festival organizers and refused to leave the venue. bts themselves wanted to perform and finally managed to convince the people in charge to let them do their small 3 song set (fire, save me, dope) which you can find fancams of on youtube. a small detail you will spot is that many people said you could visibly see jimin was still irked by what happened and he danced more aggresively than usual. it was pure sabotage. and you can see there were many armys there so it made no sense to dump them from the lineup because they got more hyped than some of the big company acts who were in the regular lineup. 2016 was the year bts slowly started dominating the industry and kpop companies who were at the top did everything in their power to derail them even more than before. luckily, bts and armys persevered. but we still do get bs situations like this, just less overt than this one.

I am a feminist to the point that a lot of men accuse me of misandry when I press them to not only examine their attitudes & perceptions behind their behavior towards women but to also call it out in their friends when they see it. Anyway, the lyrics to War of Hormone never once came across as misogynistic to me- they accurately portray an adolescent boy who is experiencing not only romantic feelings of interest but physical interest in a girl. Personally I don’t feel like complimenting a pretty girls physical attributes is demeaning, especially since it’s not the only attributes the lyrics focus on. Even though personally I saw no issue with those lyrics, I gained a great deal of respect for RM, Suga & J-Hope for listening to those who did say they were offended. They didn’t get defensive or dismiss anyone’s feelings, they apologized & have taken tangible steps to make sure their words will never again be perceived as disrespectful or demeaning to women.

Yeah, the Kpop industry pretty much spit on BTS every chance they got. Partly because they were from a small, outsider company. But also because BTS was the one thing you cannot be in an industry full of fakes and facades - AUTHENTIC. They had the audacity to actually MEAN WHAT THEY SANG. And everyone in the industry despised them for it.

In Korean culture, there is this thing called a "black ocean". During concerts and award shows, fans in the audience bring their group's official lightsticks and wave them around to show support. But sometimes fans refuse to light those lightsticks and instead give the performing artist the equivalent of a slap in the face, the ultimate silent treatment: the "black ocean", when the audience stays dark and mostly silent. The worst thing is that it's usually an artist's own fans that do this to show their anger/disapproval, and back in the day a couple of Kpop groups got treated like this by their own fans (something ARMY would never even imagine). Now when BTS was still struggling, there were two bigger fandoms that often cooperated together to smack BTS and ARMY down, and they tried several times to do a black ocean during BTS' performance at award shows. In award shows, there are many artists who perform, so each fandom gets a certain number of tickets depending of its size and the artist's own popularity. As an OG ARMY, I'll forever be thankful to the few persistent ARMYs present who were waving their lightsticks in the crowd, cause that sh!t these fandoms tried to do is just disgusting.

The Naver thing ... Naver is notoriously xenophobic. To use their streaming services as a foreigner you not only have to jump through hoops, they make it really difficult to translate their sites because they use images instead of font to explain where to log in etc. BTS wanted to stream globally, and that is why they came up with their own media platform.

They were there to celebrate their one year or 100 days event with a round table of older hip hop and rap peers and instead the “elders” started in on them about how they weren’t real artist and wear makeup as manufactured singers. They still responded respectfully and did their real response with their Cypher series. And about the plagiarism, it was always about costumes and hair color. Hair color!

Forgot to add that fan wars is not uncommon in Korea. But the fan war against the boys is especially vicious bc some of the hate was supported/encouraged/ organized by the record companies themselves. About the photographer. He said that BTS copied his work for the "Young Forever" concept. After a few time, he, in fact, retracted himself and said that he never accused them of plagiarism but that he was flatter that they get inspiration from his work. He ended by saying that the exposition of his work that he had to do in Korea was cancelled and that he go in China instead... and he assured everyone that this decision had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with what happened with BTS.

I also read somewhere that it’s suspected he made the allegations to get people to attend his art show. I have been Army since 2014. The most depressed year even make us feel scared to get online because we will see a bad article to attack BTS is on 2015-2016, when they get accused sajaegi and plagiarized. But a good thing is, that make international Army get intense communication with K-Army. We tried comforting each other n make Army be strong to keep support BTS (coz lot of KArmy "resign"due of pressure because get attacked by other fandom after BTS won over their "legend" group. The most worst is, that fandom calling other fandoms to attacked BTS and Army. There is more than 12 fandoms joining a train attack at that time n all of them is older n bigger fandom. And we get attacked non stop from 2015-2016). KArmy are still really small at that time, but international Army already more larger size. Sometimes, International Army defended Karmy beside defend BTS. That make our relationship between Karmy and International Army get closer and stronger that never happened in any kpop fandom that their korean fandom hate their international fandom. While other fandom calling their international fandom as "i-roaches", KArmy called international Army as "i-lovelies", and we called KArmy as "K-diamond" (u can see that term on urbandictionary. That how popular our nickname for each others at that time lol). We even sent a love letters to each other through Army translator. Even now our relationship with Karmy is not as close like before (because so many new Army from both in korea and international, is a people from other fandom but because a habit from their old fandom that between their korean fandom with international one have a bad blood to each others, so they bring that habit when entered Army without knowing what older Army have been going through together and how our korean Army and International Army is really close to each other). So this new Army that from other fandom sometimes burn the bridges with korean Army or vice versa and make a war between us. Even some older Army can patched the burn bridges and try to make us get united again, but the bad apples is still keep being a toxic because they cant change their habit like they have in their other fandom.

Now about misogynist and sh*t.. so..let me clear the misunderstanding k-popies and some Armys hv regarding this song..it was blown out of proportion by h@ters & Antis to create drama that time, which worked cuz k-popies & media latched on it... *This is going to long a$$ comment* Let's be real, War of Hormones wasn't misogynistic. It was just an honest song about what guys in that age range go through. They were straight up saying that they struggle with their hormones when they see a pretty girl, *and guess what? That's just being honest.* 👁️👄👁️ The title itself gives a clear idea to how they see it. A war. An internal conflict. And it's true to what guys in their late teens and early 20s go through. Bangtan has always been about talking about their experiences and being a voice of people their age. The entire album, Dark & Wild, was really just about the turmoils of young adulthood. In the title of the album too, you can already tell what the sentiment was going to be. The first 3 albums spoke about school and issues of teens. And then from there, the darker days of coming to terms with adulthood. And then the HYYH series. Everything was thematic with stories they wanted to tell as they go through life. Antis and fans of other groups were just grasping at straws to find something to shit on and unfortunately the media picked up on it and then some ARMY took it as truth and they themselves started talking as if the song was offensive. It isn't. We need to stop spreading this story as if BTS were misogynistic boys who needed to learn a lesson. Yes, Namjoon has learned a lot from the experience and has gone out of his way to speak to experts in women's studies, but I'm sure that whole ordeal also caused him unnecessary pain. *Now, My personal take on this:* I don't see anything wrong with the lyrics of the song. All boys go through puberty and the things BTS sung in this are just reflective of their experience going through that phase in their lives. This is the reason I love them and their songs.. they didn't hide anything and covered all the feelings/thoughts of a person who is in his/her adolescent...one can see them growing up from then till today…I personally don't find the lyrics offensive and “most” Armys as well..as I agree they are expressing the struggles of dealing with hormonal changes in adolescence, and I'm sorry but sexual attraction is the number one pressing issue in most hormonal teens regardless of gender. There's a couple of issues I take with people who found this offensive. First, the double standard. You can't tell me young women were purely innocent in their thoughts and feelings as they watched these young men dance and sing, they just didn't make a song about it, at least not publicly. Secondly, the entire concept BigHit wanted from BTS is a representation of the youth culture and the issues youth deal with as seen and heard through the lyrics and music of BTS, and of course everyone has or will experience sexual attraction. Yes, they refer to see through clothing and high heels etc, but I've seen hundreds of posts referring to JK's abs, Jimin's body rolls and shoulder "accidents" Tae's tongue...you get the idea, and while many comments aren't necessarily teens it's not a problem. There can only be an issue if the lyrics were implying that I'm only attracted to girls who wear heels and sheer clothing, not sneakers and sweats. Anyone who has experienced adolescence knows however that if they're sexually attracted to someone the person could easily walk around in a potato sack and an adolescent would still be entranced. A lot of people were offended by that line, "Girls are equations and us men just do them". Personally, I took it as "do them" meant they were puzzles to be solved, not a sexual act. RM was honestly shocked that people were offended by the lyrics and that they could be considered misogynistic. It was definitely a learning experience for him. He apologized and has since run his lyrics through a few professionals in women's studies before releasing a new song. They don't really release songs like this any more. *But to that a korean Army said translation in English were a bit off, which lead to misunderstandings and explained it saying : “I was kinda surprised it's translation was "do" because that part "do them" CAN actually sound offensive to some people, because the meaning of that word 'do' is not clear. However I can clearly say that it's not meant that way, and Korean version lyrics tell that. Words are more specific, and not controversial in Korean version lyrics, because it doesn't say 'do. That part in Korean is 여자들은 방정식 우리 남자들은 해 which says we men are 해 is a word for mathematics, and it means the 'answer/the final number'. So it means they solve. the complex minds of the girls. 해 DOES have the meaning of 'do' too, but its not appropriate to translate this part of the lyrics that way, because if u say it means "do them, it doesn't fit the sentence there. Since there's no Objectives for that Verb 'do' and that's... kinda awkward. plus. the context and meaning of the whole sentence is talking abt mathematics and Equations so what u said is true. It doesn't mean sexual way”* it's freaking mistranslation, if you don't belive me ask any korean, not only k-army but any Korean.. it was done to sabotage BTS's career..💀 BTS hv made few mistakes unknowingly early in their career and said things which can be considered offensive, as they were young but they hv re-educated themselves, apologized and never repeated the mistakes again..but I hv seen many k-popies and so called Multi Armys twisting many things because of that..take for example this song.. it's blown out of the proportion just to cause drama..and they were sadly successful in that..haters/antis tried every lil thing to bring BTS down & sabotage their career ngl.. *Now last but not the least* ..when this controversy happened, When joon apologized, The one thing that struck me about that was a part in the statement saying they took so long to apologize because they wanted to understand what exactly was the issue... And that part I definitely liked, I've never been a fan of blanket apologies.. BTS always try to understand the problem & try to improve..joon apologized because as the controversy was over "ppl were offended", he apologized for the ppl who were offended by this song, that doesn't mean the song was wrong, he was kind enough to take responsibility for it, ofc bighit & BTS took this issue (which was blown out of proportion) and apologized so that this unwanted drama surrounding the song would end (isn't that common sense) he sincerely apologised..but that doesn't mean that WOH is misogynist or objectifying women..like the title itself clears it out! "War of hormones" what ppl expected form this song to be like seriously?! Ppl who still want to believe that WOH is objectifying women are really dumb for me..like be practical and think Deeply over the points i made up in this comment..& genuinely let me know your afterthoughts.. that's all i can say🤷🏻‍♀️ *I'm out* 🚶🏻‍♀️🚶🏻‍♀️🚶🏻‍♀️

War of hormone was the main song , other artists didn't get flack for anything they wrote that was similar or worse As a girl I like the song it was to me an honest look about the thoughts you have as a teenager with raging hormones and the fact that it was blunt and in a male perspective I think is why it was a "shock" then the content itself I think people still think lots of taboo shit about sexual thoughts or attraction to people of you find attractive or think of. I suggest you listen to it and put yourself in the mindset of a young girl or boy going through the motions of hormones and finding out your sexual attraction. I honestly thought about stuff the same as the lyrics say when I was 13-16 it honestly was refreshing to me to hear my younger thoughts in a song of an artist I admire.

when it comes to the military enlistment exemption thing.. it's a very delicate topic considering bts are currently getting backlash in korea over the situation developing where the government have hinted at wanting to exempt them. many people are salty because enlistment is compulsory for every able bodied man of age up to 28 and they feel like, if i should go everyone should go. it's a bit of a stupid logic in my opinion, especially because research has shown around 70k random businessmen people have been exempted over a 4 year period from 2015-2019 alone... but it's saltiness. regardless, this saltiness and controversy is why the government put such a strict revision of the exemption law at first that basically only targetted bts - because they needed a high hardly reachable goal since otherwise, way too many not as impactful kpop artists would be eligible for exemption and regular people would probably riot. they're mad as it is with only bts' possible exemption now in 2022 so we know it's true. this however didn't go over well with kpop companies who wanted to exempt their artists to drain cash from them because they dislike sending their artists away for two years and losing money personally over that time period, so they filed that complaint. bts is the only one who actually deserves exemption based on merit to their country, both financially (they alone contribute 0.4% of korea's gdp yearly, on par with korea air) and by increasing korea's soft power and cultural impact singlehandedly. i'm not just saying that to be rude to kpop groups. it's true. so it pisses me off how people are playing games and agencies are trying to twist angles to make people hate bts instead of everyone acknowledging what they've done for the country and rewarding them for it. it's highly ironic how only the government and armys see what bts has achieved is worth the exemption, but again it probably plays into the fact big 3 companies in korea control the media (like naver which was mentioned in the video) and the general public therefore does not know enough about what bts has done to support their exemption outright in any way. it's sick, actually. it's why i said in another comment that bts still get sabotaged to this day like they have since the beginning despite clearly being the biggest act in the world, let alone korea. it's despicable.

You two are adorable. I was born in 1953 so that makes me silver ARMY. I saw the Beatles debut on the Ed Sullivan Show. Over the years I have been a fan of the Monkees, Herman's Hermits, the Stones, the Cars, Jethro Tull, ZZ Top, Carly Simon, Winton Marsalis, Alan Jackson, and more. Yes, my music taste is diverse. I started watching K-drama when my daughter was younger and watching and with reluctance got into it. From there I became hooked on some of the sound tracks. I particularly liked CNBLUE & TVXQ. I watched the 2015 K-drama Hwrang without knowing that Kim Taehyung (V) was the one in the cast with the most heartbreaking storyline (plus Jin &V performed the title track). I really dove in about six years ago. Their music is all I listen to in my car. They are extraordinary. Their messages, generosity, sincerity, & talent are unlike anything I've seen in my years on this planet. I am enjoying your reactions.

The hamburger video is one of the most upsetting to me. Because it was face to face, because JK is so much younger than the other men, because he was alone. Age and status is such a huge deal especially in Korea. This interchange shines a light on the sad reality of bullying and what is considered acceptable behavior. Younger and less popular people are basically crapped on and it's seen as okay. The kpop industry is all bright and shiny on the outside, when this is happening every day behind the scenes.

The “respect those older than you” power definitely gets abused, I see it here in the states but it’s on another level in Korea. It’s very sad that younger people are exposed to such behavior from the very same adults that are supposed to be respectable role models.

Thank you, guys, good for you. I love how you reiterate - "like a girl" is not an insult". Yes, watching this is hard, but like RM said "the BTS you know, the ARMY we know, we're strong", and I think it important to know and understand. Your genuine reactions were lovely. Your astonishment about the racism - why, why do people do that - well, my answer is sort of a non-answer - they do it because it's easy and because they don't have to think and because they can. You might like the fact that, although initially the German station had tried to defend that DJ ("it was a joke", no ) have now moved him from an early evening daily slot to a one hour lunchtime slot on ... I think a Sunday. That shows it was not a joke and was not nothing. The racism is everywhere even if it's not as overt and is a background hum, it is still there. But it won't win. The hate in Korea is suspected to be co-ordinated by the big three Kpop company/ies. Because they are scared. Bang Shi Hyuk of Big Hit set out to change the music industry in Korea and it is happening. Most "Koreans in the street" hardly know anything about BTS - in fact in Korea Kpop is less popular than Trot music and ballads, but people are now hearing more and more about BTS even if they don't really know much about their achievements. I'm not Korean but I'd like to say 2 things about cultural matters which I find deeply moving Korea is a very formal and hierarchical society - it is not DONE to directly challenge anyone in authority: asking BTS outright face to face to account for themselves is incredibly rude and in fact quite shocking. Their placid reaction demonstrates their maturity and professionalism. Secondly I want to say something about V's announcement on her 49th day of his Grandma's passing. His parents both worked full time away from home and he was brought up by his Grandma until he was about 14, so he was very close to her. In Korean culture the 49th day after someone dies is a special day. I believe the tradition is that on that day the soul is able to move on and be re-incarnated. There are special ceremonies to see them off that all the family will attend - but V could not be there. It's easy to see his emotion was real, but the weight of that days' significance will not be obvious to anyone from a different culture. The fact that so many (including Koreans who did know) were so brutal is horrifying to me. When he was little and she put him to bed she used to call him her Winter Bear : I think his song of that name is written for her. I, too, am glad that BH are now prosecuting people who make hate comments etc. Another nice little story that I like and which I think nicely encapsulates BTS and their relationships, relates to the death threats against Jimin. You might see pictures of him and Jin wearing black trousers, the same blue jumper and with black hair. Jin deliberately chose to dress identically for those shows to confuse anyone thinking to attack Mochi.

Expanding on what you said about Hitman Bang... the man is a genius. He saw the 'rules' and the process of idol-making when he worked with JYP, he decided what to keep and what to discard, and he put BTS together his way, not the accepted way. By all the 'rules,' they should have washed out right after debut, and yet they were rookies of the year everywhere. The Big 3 didn't get where they are by allowing minor details like ethics or integrity to get in their way, so... All the hostility is one of the reasons Bang decided to promote the boys overseas first- a clear violation of the idol procedure, which indicates that gaining fame in Korea is the first step, and reaching out to other countries comes later. (Another reason, he was quite aware that the K-pop market was glutted and people were jaded, while foreigners were more likely to be intrigued.) Alongside that, the fact that BTS succeeded without the 'absolutely necessary' promotion aids like award shows, interviews and variety shows, is still sticking in K-media's throat. It's not just that the Big 3 reminded them who had the butter for their bread; Hitman Bang went past Mnet and Melon and all the rest to promote on social media...which was as unheard of as rapper-idols. And many of the regular media companies won't get over it. That's why the boys either don't show up in headlines, or get underrated when they do. Like the Grammys- it wasn't, 'BTS Chosen by Rolling Stone Magazine as 13th of the top 20 Grammy Performances of all time', it was 'BTS Fails to Win Grammy'. And if they had won, it would be, 'BTS Wins Grammy in Minor Category'.

Thank you for reacting to this. I'm not Korean, but i speak the language and i must say that xCeleste (since she rightly wanted to speak only of proven and certain facts and examples) blew over many parts and the actual amount of tortures they went through was a lot more than what is protrayed here. Especially during 2015-2017, when BTS started to grow more and more in Korea, they were insanely slandered and attacked by numerous toxic fans, mostly from the fandoms from big companies. The amount of hate was beyond imagination and was amazingly (and suspiciously) systematic (a well known kpop reactor, DJ Jino, who had worked in the SK music industry once said that he is quite sure one big label was actively involed in these systematic slanders). Not to mention the members themselves but armys who had to defend bts against those flooding hate comments had such painful and tough times, so many of them even suffered depression and left the fandom. I could never blame them, just supporting them was literally going through a bloody war on a daily basis.. At that time bts wrote 2,3! and Magic Shop to comfort those armys who were so hurt and exhausted, even though bts themselves were going through the same pain. These are very beautiful songs that always move almost all the armies who listen to them, if one day you want to react to them I would appreciate it very much💜💜💜 Bts literally had ONLY armys who could have their back. But they've overcome so many obstacles and hate till now, and this is one of the reasons why I not only support but also truly respect them. Actually I would want to add a lot of things, but I already read a lot of good comments, so i simply wanted to add a personal explanation of the accused part of "War of Hormon". The misogyny claim was related to mistranslated lyrics "Girls are like a maths equation we must solve" became "Girls are like a maths equation - we just do 'em"... the song was a fun take on the way hormones make young boys go crazy. Personally, i think the "do 'em" meant they were puzzles to be solved, not a sexual act. RM was honestly shocked that people were offended by the lyrics and that they could be considered misogynistic. It was definitely a learning experience for him. A korean Army said that the translation in English was a bit off, which lead to misunderstandings. I'll copy here their comment (I'm sorry that i can't give this person the right credit, i saved only the comment and i couldn't find them later😭): “I was kinda surprised it's translation was "do" because that part "do them" CAN actually sound offensive to some people, because the meaning of that word 'do' is not clear. However I can clearly say that it's not meant that way, and Korean version lyrics tell that. Words are more specific, and not controversial in the Korean version lyrics, because it doesn't say 'do. That part in Korean is 여자들은 방정식 우리 남자들은 해 which says we men are 해 that is a word for mathematics, and it means the 'answer/the final number'. So it means they solve the complex minds of the girls. 해 DOES have the meaning of 'do' too, but its not appropriate to translate this part of the lyrics that way, because if u say it means "do them", it doesn't fit the sentence there. Since there's no Objectives for that Verb 'do' and that's... kinda awkward. Plus, the context and meaning of the whole sentence is talking abt mathematics and Equations so what u said is true. It doesn't mean sexual way” Personally, as a girl who speak Korean I can tell you it was in no way offensive. It's a cute and funny song... and totally accurate! One of my favourites of their older songs😊

Just some background on the awards in the k pop world. I totally agree with you about awards and especially within western music many fans and artists realize how biased and ultimately unimportant they are. However, the kpop music industry is a bit more competitive in the sense that groups typically sign contracts with their companies for a specific period of time but the things brought up in the beginning of the video like airtime , interviews, etc. are all very important to a groups success. Because so many groups are trying to make it, when they are unable to win any music show awards it very much makes it hard for them to promote and essentially “make it” in the industry. Often times if you don’t pop off and win shows, your group can disband or you won’t have your contract renewed , and therefore your group and potentially your career can be over. So while many western awards seem purely frivolous or just nice to have, in kpop it can really determine your ability to continue to market yourself or be in a group in general. There’s obviously a lot of nuance to this and many groups that manage to work past this system but it truly means a lot to artist( especially their first win) cus it essentially prolongs their career that much longer. Hope that helps! Your reactions are so thoughtful and respectful so great job!

I found BTS in 2015 and was on the sidelines for many years, keeping tabs and cheering for them, but not 100% dedicated to them. When I decided to go all in this video was found fairly early. It is always hard to watch. I think it was my push to ARMY. They are so positive, funny, hard working, and talented. It broke my heart to know what they had experienced and continues to break my heart... as I have witnessed such things since being ARMY. Even this week, as they spoke at The White House about discrimination and hate, a US representative and a infotainment host of a network posing as a news both said hateful, derogatory remarks about them. I am sure there were more, but I limited my internet use that day because I could not stand to see anymore. It blows my mind that they were receiving hate for speaking about hate... absolute absurdity. This motivates me to support the guys in all of their ventures, support causes they support, and make regular charitable donations in honor of them. The struggle continues, but knowing they have a great support system in place (and each other) truly make them bulletproof 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

"war of hormones" (2014) was the song they were allegedly accused for being misogynistic but the english translation didn't do justice to the actual lyrics and made it kinda offensive. these accusation began when international kpop fandoms started then it spread like fire and made to articles and ofc bighit apologized because they want to clear the mess whether ya consider it offensive or not (they weren't a big company back then to go against the public and didnt have power) with war of hormones they just want to potray how is being a guy in teenage years and battling with hormones and chasing girls and all. "boy in luv" wasn't claimed as misogynistic but replying back with "boy with luv" was bts answer how they and the love became mature. kpop industry and generally ppl in south korea makeup is normalized among males BUT k-hiphop community and ppl who listen to that genre still have off opinion bout it. bts and plagiarizism thing is just a bullshit started by kpop fandoms nitpicking stuff.

But BTS actually talked about real stuff about being teens, not just about love, crushes and heartbreaks, but all dreams and struggles as well.

Isn't it amazing how fast you start to like and care about BTS? So many reactors have the same reaction when they watch this story. We as Army understand the struggles the constant comparisons and criticisms that come with being BTS and being someone who stands BTS. We often have to deal with toxic masculinity people's perceptions of how men should look and act. So many years people have looked down upon Asian men emasculated them and perpetuated the lie that they're not attractive, they're not well endowed, that no women around the world are attracted to them. And now Asian men are desired and favored and to some people that is a slight to their masculinity so course they have to talk s*** about it and try to demean them. Me being an older K-pop Metalhead I remember the Hair Band days when they wore tight pants pandex wore makeup had long hair and to us that was the epitome of masculinity and sexual prowess. But even back then regular america didn't understand why we were so obsessed with these men in makeup in tight pants who gyrate on-stage & hiw that image of men was so popular. And when referring to some of the music in the past limit was misogynist again very reminiscent of Korean Society. And I just said it does show their growth and willingness to change the fact that they have their lyrics scrutinized before recording. In case you didntknow in Korea there's a group of people called netizens and that's just keyboard Warriors. A lot of times these people are young and immature and selfish as hell which is why they make such a big deal out of trivial matters even going so far as to make death threats towards artists. Some of them are learning their lesson because big-hit is litigious and are taking them to court and will not settle and unfortunately either they themselves have to pay or their families have to pay the heavy penalties for their immaturity. In Korea that used to be the big three entertainment companies were YG jyp and SM Entertainment. They don't like it that now big HIT Entertainment is number one, and will do whatever they can to try to bring BTS/Big Hit down so that their artists can be at the top. And why it seems like the government is behind BTS because BTS brings billions of dollars for their country. At least 20% of the people coming to visit Korea are there because o BTS. I'll be very surprised if they weren't waved or if the governmentfinds a way to just have BTS perform specific duties in lieu of them going to military for 18 months. And while I don't like the other entertainment companies they do have a point that there should be a standard for K-pop Idols to be able to be waived. The reason athletes and classical musicians are waived is because of the praise and Glory their achievement brong to Korea. BTS has done that 10 times over so they are definitely worthy of being waived.

Thank you for this reaction. I felt the same frustrations and anger watching this video. I think most of it has to do with the fact that they didn't make it through the "normal path" in South Korea. The bigger companies had their way to push groups to the top, with their contacts with the media. But BTS used a different path. Once those companies found out that BTS was rising to the top, they did everything to oppose them (maybe also using fans from other groups). I'm not an expert but I think that caused most of their problems in their own country. So happy that they overcame all this and that they are where they are. 💜.

xCeleste always makes really good videos. And although it really hurts to see BTS go through all of these struggles, it really shows that are fighters and winning. However, there is one thing I'd like to point out is a bit of misconception that can arise from one part (but obviously unintentional). The reason BTS recorded part of their album in a garage was because they were in the US for their American Hustle Life show, so obviously they wouldn't be back at their company studio. I don't think it's right to put this part as a hardship - more like BTS and their production team being resourceful. It's like the same thing with BTS handing out flyers for a concert (which was used as a 'Oh look how BTS had to go on the streets and ask people to come to their concert') . It was part of their AHL project and of course I'm sure it's very nerve-wracking to go up to strangers who don't even know you and ask you to come to a free concert though.

My understanding of the situation with BTS is that they were disrupters of the music industry in SK. The industry at the time of their debut was controlled by 3 big agencies and BTS was from a new small label. The big 3 controlled the media through this pay to play system and tried to block BTS from broadcasts and TV promotions, so BTS being creative little buggers went around the establishment and develop their own shows like Run BTS and Bon Voyage etc and their own media platform Weverse and used youtube to subvert the industry. Which made people in the industry mad so they tried to sabotage them through made up scandals and accusations. As they developed internationally the government, particularly the most recent president Moon recognized the soft power that they could harness through BTS and the $$ that they brought into SK. BTS brings in something like 3% of the country GDP and have the earning power of big companies such as Samsung and Hyundai. The government even went as far as to make them diplomatic envoys and give them diplomatic passports. Concurrently, as they began to get a foothold in the western market the racism and xenophobia of the western media and music industry exploded. BTS threatens the standards of the music industry here by outperforming almost every current artist. Despite all this BTS have faced the backlash with dignity and class and continue to spread their message of love to the world. They have not stayed silent though, responding to the hate with a few awesome diss tracks and cyphers you know just to add some spice to things. BTS almost broke up in 2018 because of the pressure and fear they had of this massive global success. But this is why the BTS Army is so protective of them, you get to the point where enough is enough and Army is not taking it anymore. Some go too far and it can get toxic but mostly it is in defense of the 9 years of ridiculous petty hatred. BTW, BTS is meeting with President Biden this week at the White House to discuss Asian representation and racism.

As for the lyrics of War of Hormone, another thing to consider is that RM is the one who writes many of the lyrics of the songs, and he grew up inspired by US Hip Hop... American Hustle Life and the Boy in Luv clip that Warren G produced, you can see that this misogynistic thinking has more to do with US culture. But the song being considered misogynistic has more to do with mistranslation and exaggeration on the part of haters and fans of other groups that were starting to lose ground to them.

Also you mentioned you wanted something maybe happier or more cheerful to react too and besides their festa room live where they do a medley of songs to showcase their evolution has artists, there is a cool video called: Bts supporting the lgbtq+ community by jiminluvr and it made me really happy. I knew they were great people but gay mariage is still illegal in Korea so to see how supportive they are is incredibly touching. They even made their line of merchandised characters non-binary!

Thank you for this 💜 At one point you misunderstood. The politician and the music critique who were discussing the media's near black out of BTS was not because of the incident about the online concert. That was a separate issue. Media has kept BTS out since day 1. Reason why they used social media to promote themselves. Their own shows because TV shows didn't invite them. XCeleste was probably afraid of backlash so just skimmed over without going into details. She has not even mentioned half the things. Their anthology album dropping on June 10th tells us their story through concept photos. Google for their PROOF Concept photos. They are standing confidently while bullets are flying but not hitting them. The second set shows them with laser red and green target marks on their faces. Very interesting depiction of their situation since the beginning.

Continue to be proud of them. Not sure if you know but the White House invited BTS to speak on May 31st about racism against Asians, Pacific Americans, etc. so the guys are presently in the U.S.! I don't really like mixing politics with entertainment; however, A) I'm old enough to know that politics are found Everywhere - in every group of 2 or more humans, and B) I do like that they have the power/ability to speak out on these very important matters now. Thanks so much for your genuine reaction. Yes, I get down and angry every time I hear this video and/or any new event that's happened. I really appreciate your reaction to the hardship video. Its hard for me to watch the petty things thrown at BTS. Its one thing to have an adverse opinion about BTS, but to act on it to sabotage them is awful. Im really proud of the way BTS handled it and have stayed on the path to be positive inspite of it all. As for BTS representing S.Korea, they have gone beyond just being a musical group. Last year BTS was appointed by their president as Special Presidential Envoy, and all members were given diplomatic passports. BTS has spoken at the UN 3 times, for the Love Myself campaign with UNICEF, ending violence, speaking on COVID 19, climate change, vaccines and representing the current generation of changing the future. They are also going to be at the White House on May 31st meeting with President Biden to speak on Anti- Asian hate. Im really proud of them. Low key happy that the flower crew clip about how they treated jungkook when he brought them all that food is a blessing. Watching those grown men stand there in front of him and when he tried to explain how big the hamburgers were and everything with a huge smile on his baby jungkook face…. Watching the grown ass men not even look at him as they spoke… he had to keep asking the staff and camera crew why they weren’t taking it bc they acted like he didn’t exist… he was sitting on the ground with his burgers confused until they told him to get it out of the way and started the show as he sat there with tears in his eyes and a fake smile on his little face… he was like 14-15 and the baby of the group who was doing something alone like this for the first time. None of us were happy to see them on a show with host again… but of course jungkook who is one of the most kind and considerate young men I have ever seen… was humble and respectful bc it’s who he is … it’s who they all are… and those boys love the shit out of each other and will go to bat for any of them… but when it comes to their baby brother jungkook… that’s a place they don’t take any kind of shit for lol The stuff about Jhope being ugly… boils my blood to the extreme… he had been open about his insecurities in the early days and not feeling as handsome as the others… so to see that broke my heart. He got the last laugh though bc he’s commonly goatee for everything he does and army are swooning over anything Jhope… bc he’s a sexy powerful and incredible human… he wins and that’s that. The stuff about v and his grandma is another thing that honestly makes me flip tf out lol using pictures of corpses and saying it’s pics of his grandma were some of the most vile things I’ve seen someone say about someone merely bc you love another group… like how does that even pop into your mind ?!?!? That’s just pure evil. Our boys are the most humble, loving, supportive, considerate and respectful people on this planet… their artistry , talent and genuine care for people and this planet is hard to fight fair against I guess … but to get as dirty as it does is just crazy to me… these boys deserve the world and it’s why we’re so protective or triggered when new ppl use certain terms or assumptions… and they don’t mean any harm… and def something I hope we as army can be better about.. not jumping down ppls throats for ignorant assumptions… educate them… take their remarks and figure out what will blow them away . I guarantee even if ppl don’t like the music or dance of one song and video…. That you can def find something from bts that will change their mind and encourage to at least respect them as people and as artists for all they do 💜

Yeah, this is a hard video to watch. The crazy thing is that with some of the editing it actually spares you some. Like watching more of the B Free video (when they were called girls) and seeing how hard RM tries to be thoughtful and above the fray is rough. In particular the hardest video for me to watch is the one with JK and the hamburgers. Rosan did us a favor editing that down cuz he tries and gets rejected multiple times and just looks so young and alone. I try to trust BTS and take my cue from them, but it’s hard to not be super salty about that still, even though they did the quiz on the block interview. 🤨😭💜

Why V (taehyung) telling about his grandmother just have passed away, it because lot of Army asked him why Tae looks so down n didnt have smile and being very quiet (on that time). Because, Tae always have a smile, a sunny one and beagle (that why his nickname is v-eagle, a short words for V+beagle). So when he become quiet and didnt smile it get notice by Army and we keep asking it on BTS sns. So on that day, Tae decided to telling the reason why he looks so down n being quiet lately, it because his grandmother passed away. So, Tae telling about his grandma story not out of sudden, but because Army keeps asking it.

i just finished watching the video and I must say thank you soo much for reacting to this video!! You could've just continued with the journey by just listening to their music but you guys put in the effort to understand what they were going through and I'm soo thankful for it!! I mean it genuinely!! Tho their songs have an effect on people on first listen I'm sure that their discography is going to hit harder after finding about their journey and the hardships they had to go through. ^^ I would like to share a few details which I had found out after getting more into the fandom~ just some information to share from an army to an army ^^ First up! The photoshoots. You guys got it correct. The company handles their photoshoot, music videos and other public activities. BTS are only mostly involved in their music, tho during covid lockdown they released an album called 'BE' which they worked on together as a group. From the packaging, to the music videos and concept ideas they were involved but otherwise other than their 'Artist made collections' the members aren't involved in the ideas for the album covers and photoshoots. They only take part in the music production and the album concept which is the story they want to tell us through their music. The rest of the work are covered by the company and they just follow their schedule like Soare said. I kinda don't remember what happened to the plagiarism issue so I'm sorry but I don't have much information regarding it :''(( Next one!! The make up and idol issue. This is quite a well known incident in the ARMY fandom. BTS debuted as a hiphop group with members who were underground rappers but this issue started making ppl question their identity. They started saying that they are like girls for wearing makeup on stage and that it's not accepted in the hiphop culture. At the same time the netizens (general public) were attacking the members saying that their looks don't fit the 'idol' image and some were even saying that idol music isn't considered as music. But don't worry, as always BTS responded back with their music. On 24 August 2018, they released their title track 'IDOL' for their album 'Love yourself : Answer'. In the song the members talk about how they have learned and have come to accept themselves. No matter if they are called as an artist or an idol, they don't care cause they are BTS and they are proud of it. You guys should check it out~ BTS 'IDOL' MV - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pBuZEGYXA6E.html Okies next next! The misogynistic lyrics.. Uh this one I can't say if they were right or wrong since I'm just 17 -.-|| but the lyrics do objectify women a bit but I guess it depends on the individuals perspective. The whole album 'Dark and Wild' talked about the turmoils of young adulthood. Their b-side track 'War of Hormones' as it's name suggests was written to show their struggle with their hormones due to puberty. The members weren't that old when the song released too. The youngest had just turned 18 (17 in international age) and the oldest member was 23 (22 in international age). They don't name shame women or body shame anyone. But I guess it could come across a bit misogynistic for ppl who don't follow their storyline. It's like a censored, more milder version of a few western lyrics. You guys can go read it and have your views and thoughts tbh. But i would recommend you to go read it with the mindset that they are in their early teens going through puberty and not some late 20 year old trying to sleep with someone or harassing someone. Eeks that came out a bit more bad then I expected sorry T__T But either ways!! they have grown from their premature young adulthood times and have become mature adults who know that women are more than just their looks. In 2016, they released an album called 'WINGS' and one of their b-side track '21st century girls' is a song to urge girls to not alter themselves to seek approval from the virtual world, but to remain as individuals with courage and purpose in their lives and to stay strong. you can check that song out too~ BTS '21st Century Girls' Live w/ eng sub - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3Dol7LP4TKM.html Next Next!! About Media, variety shows etc. This isn't much but like variety show hosts started treating the members badly because they didn't come from a big company and made a fool out of them so Bighit decided to make their own show and hence the members stopped appearing on variety shows. Since Bighit had their own shows and their own marketing team, media didn't play much of a role in BTS's success. It was mostly social media that played a main role. Since BTS became popular without the help of media.. ig it kinda hurt their pride? either ways they got petty :(( and regarding the performance which wasn't broadcasted.. I don't know the full details but apparently BTS were going to perform but since one of the members got injured, the organizers cancelled their performance and only let the fans know a few hours before the show. They only revealed it a few hours earlier so idk if the fans who had bought tickets to watch BTS were informed or not.. so the fans who were at the venue (almost the whole audience) were confused when BTS didn't appear. But BTS wanted to perform for the fans who had come to see them, so they asked the organizers to let them perform and thus ended up performing at the end with no lights, confetti on the floor and with no camera's rolling. The moment is so precious because BTS performed for ARMY's. Not for the show or to make money but for the ARMY's who had bought tickets to see them. You don't have to react to it but if you are in the feels u can check out their fancam ^^ BTS Busan One Asia Festival - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VBByQdw1n-M.html About the Japan-Korea issue, ARMY's weren't angry or upset bcs they disregarded Japan or world war 2 but because Japan had been upset about the fact that they had been ordered to compensate Koreans for their forced labor, so they decided to bring up an old photo of one of the members. It's very political so idk much about it.. but if you are curious about the white paper project you can check it out here - whitepaperproject.com/en.html The other issues are quite self explanatory so I don't have much to add.. but the racism still exists sadly :(( On May 31st BTS are going to the white house to meet the U.S president Joe Biden to discuss Asian inclusion and representation, and to address anti-Asian hate crimes and discrimination which have become more prominent issues in the recent years. It's a good news that BTS are using their platform well but ppl still complain saying 'they are doing it for their upcoming album promotion' and 'why BTS instead of asian americans' and 'XXX shd hve been invited not BTS' and blah blah blah sigh... everything is good till its BTS.. that's their mindset :(( Anyways thank you again soo much for reacting to this!! I'm soo excited to see you go through their discography ^^ You might not be a fan of all the songs but you will definitely find something you like. Out of seven members you will find at least one member who u can relate with so dw~ I don't expect you guys to like all their songs but I do hope you appreciate their hardwork :(( Thank you soo much again and I'm so excited to hear the meaning behind your names when you reach 10K subs~ I think I'm a fan of you guys ^^ I hope you guys have a great day!!

Misogyny accusations were a bunch of sound and fury over mostly nothing. RM did have some questionable rap lyrics (although tame compared to Western rap) most of the outrage was directed at the songs Boy In Luv and War of Hormone. People who had issues with these songs completely missed the point of those songs 🤦‍♀️ And some of the complaints regarding WoH lyrics are due to mistranslation and/or misinterpreted translation

I have lived with social anxiety for the majority of my life. More recently, It has become more of a form of agoraphobia. I too was a fan of Christina Grimmie and her death was possibly a factor in my worsening phobia. This is why BTS's Suga is a hero of mine. He has said he had social anxiety and depression and yet he didn't let that stop him from achieving his dreams. I have never been a fan of rap music, but love the BTS rap line and their rap songs. I am so extremely proud of every member of BTS because even though they have been through so much, outside of their music, I have never heard them say anything bad about anyone.

Even though it’s a tough one, this video is always necessary. It gives a good understanding of how Army is so emotional and supportive, why the guys love Army so much. It also gives you important background to understand many lyrics of their songs. They talk back to haters in many songs, and reference to these hardships a lot, specially in the rap songs. (It’s never nasty, but always a nice glove slap in the face, you know? 😆) It will also give you a very good understanding of their new album concept. BTS is about to drop a new album called Proof in a couple of weeks (06/10/22), it’s a triple album with 3 new songs and a anthology of sorts. The album is called Proof as in Bulletproof, like their original name, because they have truly become Bulletproof, having Army as their shield (proof). They have released photos of the new album concept in the last 2 days and they kind of broke my heart but also made me so very proud. The first pictures show them individually in front of shields that are full of bullet marks. The group photo shows them in front of a vault with a lot of bulletproof cases at their feet (I think they will reveal what’s inside the vault in the next few days, but I have a suspicion of what it is so very dear to them). The second set of pictures show them with laser marks in their faces, the ones that a shooter would use to aim at them. You can see the pictures in the BTS oficial group accounts (Twitter, Weverse, Instagram, etc.), but because you took the time to learn about the hardships, now you will be able to fully comprehend the concept and the reasons behind it. I enjoyed your reaction and will recommend something super fun like Tiny Desk concert or the Festa Medley, those are going to put you in a good mood for sure. Sorry for any English mistakes, this Army is from Brazil and not fully fluent yet. 😬🤭

I think a good way to make you feel better after this video would be to check out the rap line songs where BTS respond to their haters, now that you have the context it will be extra satisfying. I would recommend Daetchwita by Agust D (BTS SUGA’s solo alterego) or any of the cyphers (my favourite is number 2) or UGH! Or DDeang possibly followed by video explanation by DKDKTV

Thank you for your reaction. I do love excelestes videos so informative. Army are almost 1 billion strong and growing. Within the fandom though there are those that have their favourites and are not very nice to those that are not their favourites. These are called shippers. They ship two members together romantically ignoring the fact that BTS are like brothers and they have never spoken about their sexuality and nor should they. Jimin is always a target for haters he is the sweetest person who the other members go to for comfort. Haters called him fat and pig so he starved himself to the point he ate 1 meal in 10 days. They broke his heart and thats unforgivable to me. I admire BTS for their sheer talent, kindness, comforting words and messages. I'm 57 and a rock music fan but discovered BTS at the start of the pandemic and I just can't imagine a day without seeing them. They make wonderful programmes for ARMY. In the Soop, Bon voyage, Run BTS and they are like full time comedians. All 7 are very precious to me. They helped me with my anxiety. They are my light. Much love ❤

@@septasoareousrex I think the boys are well protected now and I hope they don't see the hate comments. Seems the haters target Jimin because they know how much he is loved by BTS and army. When they first debuted they used to get letters and RM was the only one who could read and write English so if any of the members got hate messages RM used to say they were all positive messages. He shouldered a lot even though was very young. When I first saw excelestes video about their Hardships it broke my heart. They were so badly mistreated it was a crime but look at them now. 2 time Grammy Nominees, artist of the year. Off to the Whitehouse to meet the president to discuss Asian hate crime and all under 30 years of age. Incredible

I wrote a longer post about the military exemption/postponement controversy but it's just too complicated and as a non-korean it's really none of my business. The only thing I will say is their government recognizes their impact both on their culture and on their economy, though other groups may have been popular at one time or another, other groups came to America first, no other groups have ever been as popular as BTS or have brought such positive energy to the world like BTS. Imagine living your dream, making music that you want to make and spreading a positive message, but you are doing so well that you become the face of something so much bigger than yourself and your music. They have so much pressure on their shoulders, and I am so thankful that they have each other in this world.

I still chuckle when I hear about the whole military exemption thing. The other labels making a fuss about military service, while BTS and Big Hit made no qualms over the issue. They would face it when it happened. But the whole thing gets flipped on it's head, making them among the few kpop artists who are eligible for exception. It's the ultimate "keep my name out of your mouth" situation for me. This happens so often when it comes to BTS. People think they're clever or have some sort of merit to speak for or about them in a negative light. Then karma lashes back ten fold, as it should.

war of hormone is not misogynistic at all. people are just grasping at straws to throw hate at bts cos they have a hate boner for them. the song was a satire making fun of how teenage boys think when they see a pretty girl. it’s not anything bad at all. this song is one of their best but unfortunately after this happened they never even acknowledged it again

hi. i don't often write comments, i tend to be just a lurker and ghost watcher on BTS reaction videos, because i try to look and observe if the people reacting are really genuinely trying to understand and are open minded to learn more about them, or if they are just reacting to BTS for "clout" or in hope to farm more subscribers for themselves. unfortunately i have came across multiple people in the last 3 years i've became an ARMY, that have unfortunately not have been sincere and genuine with their reactions and were in it, indeed, just for the thrill of getting attention. HOWEVER, the point i'm trying to make here, is that you guys have probably been the most genuine looking people i've met on here in these 3 long years. i've watched lots and lots of reactions, and even if there definitely ARE genuine reactors out there, it's really not as many as i'd like to, considering how much of sincere and deserving people BTS are. i'd like to express my gratitude to you, that you've decided to dive into this rabbit hole, because my gut is telling me you won't regret it. it's because from what i saw, i think i'm really similar in a lot of aspects to you both. of course, i don't know you personally, but judging by your reactions and comments, i see myself in both of you, kind of. please never feel like you can't express your opinion (i doubt you feel that way, but i just had to say it), ARMY is really willing to discuss, have debates over anything, honestly. we value different AND raw opinions as long as they aren't rude or harmful. and most importantly, we SEE if you're really trying to understand our POVs and we are here to understand yours. i agree with everything you said in this video. the pettiness of all these people is really dumbfounding to me. not even talking about the blatant racism BTS unfortunately face, to this day. i don't know if you know, but BTS have been invited to the White House to adress anti-Asian hate crimes and discrimination and to celebrate AANHPI Heritage Month, on May 31st. so again, thank you for being so genuine and sincere about your reactions. i've binge watched all of them in like 4 hours like a netflix tv show, and i don't regret it one bit, lol. can't wait to see more of your reactions as you slowly dive more into their music, their story and them, as people, too. i think you'll really fall in love with them. ♥
