Very similar to me I grew up only exposed to pop and so I liked it and was heavily inclined to music but very quickly got bored thinking music is very mediocre and overrated and new music is just trash and pure garbage and only old music is good. Then I found metal and was like OMG where was this my whole life I was just listening to the wrong thing and I was kinda annoyed that it took so long to find but now I’m happy to know metal exists and it wasn’t music that was trash it was just pop. I only like a few pop songs but metal is just something else to me and now I love music again and Yh that was my story that u didn’t ask for and was longer than intended but yh

i'm kinda similar except it was christian music and gospel. we didn't listen to the radio. my life has been so much better since finding metal.
